One of the most unique menus in the area. Great food, great service. A bit noisy.
Excellent wine list, check. Fantastic food with generous portions, check. Great service, check. If you haven't had the apple fritters for brunch, you have not lived yet! Wonderful coffee, very cool selection of specialized cupcakes, and their take on old favorites never disappoints. YUM times infinity. Best for brunch, date night, girls night and DO NOT forget their wine tastings throughout the month - AMAZING!
Great food great service great wine. Had event in wine loft and staff were exceptional. Also their brunch is awesome. Go now.
Slate Street Cafe was a really enjoyable place to eat with my family. the coffee was ok and the French toast was good. What you really pay for is the atmosphere and the service, can't say this enough, top quality service. we had a waitress who I think was called Danny or Dani, anyway she was a really kind and helpful. Especially around the kids.
We came here with some friends from out of town and it was our first time eating there. The food was good and the prices were actually reasonable. They seem to have a wide selection of wine, but they didn't have several of the bottles we ordered. Unfortunately, our service was beyond slow. Since we were enjoying the company of our friends it didn't bother us, but if we had not been in this situation, we would not have been happy. It took about an hour to get food and we rarely saw the waiter. He later apologized for the service saying he was the only one serving upstairs and our area. He gave us a free dessert to make up for it.
Great service & awesome food. Try the fish in a brown bag!!! BEST EVER!!! They DON'T disappoint
Delicious dinner. Steak frites was cooked perfectly, and my wife enjoyed the crab cakes.
Nice, upbeat restaurant. Good food. Seating us took time even though there were empty tables. Worth the trip for sure
Would have been 5 stars, but meal pacing was a bit off. Our entrees were served before we had finished our appetizers. Otherwise, very nice service, delicious foodespecially my sea scallops!
Pleasant atmosphere with low noise level and a great option before a show at the Kimo Theater.
We didn't try it but there is a wine bar upstairs and a very nice patio. They even have a free parking lot.
Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this sweet spot.
Fun little café convenient to downtown. Friendly staff and yummy food. Parking can be a bit tough if the lot is full, check the nearby side streets. Inside is a bit noisy but the food is quite tasty.
After hearing great reviews from some people, we thought we should give it a try. When we first arrived, we noticed how pretentious everyone eating there looked, and how pretentious the restaurant looked. So, naturally we expected great food. We eventually got our food, only to be SUPER disappointed. We had 5 members in our party, all of which ordered a variety of different items (salads, club sandwiches, wraps). At first glance the food presentation appeared as if we had ordered from a fast food joint. There was no flavor in anyone's dish, and for the price the portions were measly. If you are in the downtown neighborhood and looking for an actual decent meal for a decent price, we suggest Cozina Azul, Boiler Monkey, or Golden Crown Bakery.
Nice atmosphere, helpful staff and Good food.
Great Restaurant, Modern and Chic. Interesting Wine List and Menu.
The pork shank starter was super and enough for 2
Nice atmosphere but wasn't impressed with my fish and chips. The fish is salmon which seems unusual for fish and chips and just wasn't that good. The menu clearly states the kind of fish used so my fault for ordering what I did. The other couple with us had chicken fried chicken and it was great. My advice skip the fish until they switch to a more traditional white fish like cod.
Yes it's a little more expensive than a diner, but it's so much better than a diner. The food is great, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. My favorites on the menu include green (chili) eggs and ham omelet for breakfast, and steak and eggs for breakfast, both of which come with the best hash browns in town, covered in white cheddar cheese. I also like the salmon fish and chips. Chips in this case mean house made potato chips.
