They have the best steaks, and service in town! We had just gotten married, and it was my birthday, they gave me an amazing deconstructed apple fritter for my birthday. I appreciated everything they did to make it a special day for us. An our server Josh was amazing and we recommend him as well.

Food was amazing, great ambiance, awesome service! If you're looking for a nice place for date night or special occasion Vernon's is the spot. My wife and I wanted to try something different than our usual dinner date locations and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be adding Vernon's to our list when wanting a good meal.

We had never been to Vernon's and we loved it. The food was excellent. The service was awesome. Amber was very attentive and thoughtful. She made our anniversary dinner very special. The prime rib my wife ordered was perfect, but my dry aged ribeye was amazing! Highly recommended and for sure is a new favorite.

The atmosphere was wonderful and the wait staff exceptional!
I would not recommend Vernon's Speakeasy. The wedge salad was salty and the steaks were fatty. I couldn't eat my prime rib at the restaurant because I couldn't tell the meat from the fat. When I got home I found that one third of my prime rib was fat. We expected better quality for the price we paid.
I enjoyed my glass of wine, the coffee and the dessert.

Very good service. I love it here it was my second time in. Food is made well, I am picky when it comes to steaks and they made mine perfect.

Servers make sure you are taken care of, and it's a nice quite environment. Great for anniversaries, graduations, or date night.

Just had the best dinner ever. Tonight I asked my girlfriend to marry me. Vernon's was the location of my first date with my now fiancee so it was fitting that I decided to have our special night there. The owner and staff went out of their way to make sure it was a special and AWESOME experience. And of course the food was excellent as always. A jewel in the north valley.

Unique concept for a restaurant that goes the extra mile with the hidden doors, passwords and false panels. My first visit there was a sensory adventure trying tho figure out where everything was but you can quickly navigate once you get your bearings. The magic of this place is their food. Excellent dishes and friendly wait staff. Nice outside patio area too.

Really looked forward to trying this place after reading the reviews. The "speakeasy"" aspect of the place was overplayed to ridiculousness, but the food is where it really fell short.

The prime rib was under salted, bland and chewy. There was no salt or pepper on the table and the server disappeared after the meals came. I've had better prime rib at Denny's.

The short ribs were undercooked with slimy, rubbery fat that made them disgusting to eat.

I was told the Caesar salad only had mild anchovy flavor, but when it came the taste of fish was overwhelmingly strong.

As much as we wanted to like this place, the high prices, poor food, overplayed Speakeasy gimmick and mediocre, stiff service made it impossible.

There are plenty of better options out there.

Great place. Service was outstanding. Friendly. Yet so professional, truly a step above. Food was scrumpous. Try the lamb. Piano player alone was worth the night.

Great steaks. Even better size of steaks. Want quiet and personal experience? Call in reserve seating and enjoy. Bring money. But you get what you pay for since there is no price on the menus.

Everything from food to cocktails to service is top notch. If you can't find it, call. It's there, there's just no sign out front. (It's a speakeasy after all) One of the best meals I've had. And the atmosphere is fantastic. Thanks Jose' for the input on my meal choice. Spot on!

Very nice and warm atmosphere ! Romantic setting with someone playing the piano.
The staff was very nice, efficient and helpful.
The beef was very good and very well cooked but some pieces had a little bit too much nerves in them. However the lobster bisque was absolutely delicious.
I would recommend this place so you can enjoy a realistic prohibition ambiance !

I have conducted several business dinner programs here overt the past couple years. They do a solid job and their food has stayed relatively consistent as well. You can't beat the ambiance!

The best I've ever had. Atmosphere is fantastic! I love how the front facade is so nondescript and you have to knock and give the password. The gangster giving us the low down was so fun. Our server was excellent-unobtrusive, but efficient. Clearly with fine dining background. The drinks were lovely (though I don't drink alcohol and fancy virgin options weren't very plentiful) and the atmosphere was amazing! We were there when a woman was singing and playing the piano. I had the $72 bone in rib eye. They cooked it exactly as I asked - Pittsburgh - and they didn't even bat an eye when I asked for it. The steak was almost a religious experience. Holy crap! I'm pretty serious about steak. It was even my favorite food in 5th grade. I've had steak nearly everywhere in Albuquerque and this is hands down the best I've had. Fun and great food, but very pricey. Just a special occasion place for my budget.

One of the most unique dinner experiences you can get in Albuquerque. Food and atmosphere are both amazing. Definitely an on occasion place for me to go for dinner because the prices but when I go it is always worth it. However, I will stop in from time to time and have a drink at the bar as well and the other day went to lunch at "Cafe 6855" and it was reasonably priced for lunch (and I had a really good steak salad). Support local and go to your nice dinners here.
