It's a fairly large hotel with its own attraction built in the Six Flags water slide is everything you would expect and the kids had a great time and I would definitely go back the room itself is a pretty standard hotel suite fairly modern the layout was a little strange the bathroom had no sink it was out in the suite for some reason so your left brushing your teeth out in the open the facility was remarkably clean for how many kids that were running around and understandably a little noisy but all in good fun lots of birthday parties kids we were there for their holiday event. Unfortunately there's quite a bit of nickel-and-diming that goes on for instance is it really necessary to charge an extra $18 for a locker I felt like lifeguard coverage was fairly good for the water attraction although the Lifeguard seem to double up as cleaning staff for the changing area and toilets which were not as clean as I would expect there's three restaurants on site but not a lot of healthy food options it's Johnny Rockets, or there's like a birch bark Cafe that serves kind of a fast-food and there was another Tavern that we didn't try but the menu didn't look that appealing. Lots of people were ordering pizza to the room and there's many options in the area you're less than a mile from a whole bunch of outlet stores and in the summertime of course there's the whole Six Flags attraction which would add a whole new dimension to this day overall the kids had fun we enjoyed it we would go back I I would mostly like to healthy food options a little better value and the changing room area around the water attraction has to be better maintained. My kids like the arcade but man they do have a lot of those annoying crane type games where you play over and over and hardly ever win

This resort was great! We had booked 7 rooms for a family get together and I have to say that check in was actually smooth. We added the packages for the little ones that was well worth the money. A special thank you to Nicole for helping with the booking and answering our many questions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great experience for kids. We stayed at the hotel with a 2 year old and 5 year old in one of the Great Northern Suites. This room came with passes to the water park for our entire trip (including the day we arrived and the day we left.) The room and water park was clean. Prices were inflated, but to be expected. Our suite came with a complimentary Continental breakfast which saved us buying a meal. We took advantage of a group in deal that reduced the room pricing. The room also included free parking for the two vehicles brought to the park.

Room had the bunk bed option. Kids loved that and so did we. Pillows very uncomfortable, bring your own, we did in case. Toilet was not cleaned from previous guest!!! Awful! They did promptly clean it when I told them. I recommend being on the top floor, you hear everything above you. Wait times to eat at the connected Johnny Rockets just to be seated was at times over 40 minutes! Once there food was great. Water park was great! We all had a great time there. Would recommend though they have two people running the water tube slides. One person doing it makes for a long wait.

Came on a Wednesday in October. Perfect, only about 3 other families in the place. Stayed in a traditional suite. Nice room, nice facilities. More lifeguards than people at the water park. Great experience at Johnny Rockets for dinner as well that is attached. The other on site restaurants weren't open though. Things got a good bit busier Thursday night, heard a few more things and sounds from the neighbors but still very mild compared to a lot of hotels we've stayed at. All around a great time!

My family and I just did the indoor water park to check it out and we are impressed! It was a slow day(we were probably the only ones there) but the staff was very attentive. I only did the water so I cant speak for anything else but it was definitely worth a trip.

We were attending an event for a friend in the area and needed a place to stay with our recently married daughter and her husband. The Great Escape Lodge was the only option for a one night stay. The lobby was beautiful but for $500, the room was a bit disappointing compared to what we are used to in various other suites we have stayed in. The kitchen was large with plenty of cupboards. Unfortunately, they were empty. The mini fridge and tiny microwave were a let down. The television in the living room was not proportionally sized to the size of the room. The bathrooms lacked face cloths and bar soap for the shower/bath tub. We always wondered what it would be like to stay there so now we know and do not plan to return. Our party was not interested in the parks so we didn't get much for our money.

Great place on the stay, the beds were comfortable, and service was helpful. There was a gift shop there and people bought all kinds of stuff. People bought wands where there was an actual use in the lodge which made certain animals or objects move. There was a water park inside the lodge and you can get free access to six flags if you go there. It was also close to Lake George too.

The theme park was fun. Some employees need to have some energy when talking to customers. Some of the employees i spoke with seemed and acted like prisoners. I bought a funnel cake that got me sick, it was soo oily that it was still leaking oil. I wish the weather was more cooperative when i went , that would have made my day easier. But other then that it was a great experience.

The lodge is a great place to bring kids. The overnight stay includes all the parks which was awesome. The indoor park was not busy as we went on a weekday. I'd highly recommend that. The hotel beds were not the most comfortable. The atmosphere was family oriented so my daughters had a blast. I'd definitely stay again.

I would agree with many of the reviewers, the Lodge is in need of some TLC. Rooms have a musty smell, doors to rooms need paint, and the wall paper has seen better days. Our towels in the room were not replaced daily on our multi day visit, even though they were wet and left out to be replaced. We asked later for fresh towels and they were graciously replaced. Even with the lodge having the well used look it was very clean, that included the public bathrooms. Our kids had a blast for 2 days at the water park, which was also very clean, and that is why we gave 4 Stars.

The waterpark was a great time for our two young children. It was clean and safe and was plenty for them to do for several hours over two days. The general look if the hotel was very nice. Our Club Moose room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Though it was clean, it did need some TLC. There was significantly ripped wallpaper in several spots, peeling paint in the bathroom and a broken clothes line. That said, staff was helpful and courteous and overall it was a great time.

We rented a Moose Lodge room with a cabin for the kids. Some wallpaper was peeling off the wall, but other than that it was clean, and the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The water park was great--perfect for the family. The storage lockers were a rip off ($17).

We go here for family vacations & fun weekend getaways. Hotel itself is a blast as it has a flo rider surf machine. The hotel is also located near everything including the beautiful Lake George. In the summer there is endless things to do and in the winter there are numerous skiing/boarding mountains within an hour. There also also good bars/restaurants right in the hotel. Perfect place for active people that want to have some fun!

We had a wonderful time at the Great Escape. Even though it was low season, there was absolutely no evidence of short staffing. Rooms was clean and very tidy. The water park was terrific, water was surprisingly warm and very clean. Johnny Rockets restaurant was great. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who wants to have an extremely pleasant experience!
