Holy d*amn the chicken is good. The rest of the menu doesn't even matter once you've tried a quarter chicken (but it's all good too). Great staff. It's packed every day for lunch but they handle the volume well
Local institution. To the point that parking is always a mess when busy. There is additional parking next door or across the street, but the popularity also often means a wait. But any place that offers free popcorn and peanuts while you wait is fine by me. Great chicken. Pretty good tap list. Ok cocktails.
Wow was this place crowded! Parking was a little painful despite the large lot, it was near impossible to find a spot. However, despite the crowd, our waitress was great. She checked in on us often and we weren't ever waiting for her long. Prices were reasonable. The food was okay. No complaints really but I didn't think it was that noteworthy. They're known for their chicken but I didn't think it was that special.
This place is our go-to favorite. Joe, the proprietor, is very friendly and always remember us, no matter how crowded it is on the patio or inside. The place runs smoothly and the food is great. No sense going anywhere else, even if the wait is over 30 min.
A very large place that has multiple bars plus seating in numerous areas. Good for groups, couple's or individuals. They offer free popcorn that is delicious. One of few places that has a variety of chicken dishes on the menu. Not everyone desires steak or hamburger. The chicken is well prepared and tasty. Alcohol drinks are average in terms of volume. Staff are friendly and engaging. Always seems crowded which speaks to their ability to generate repeat business.
I've had a lot of chicken in my life of 51 years. The marination and grilling method used at Spring House is second to none! Their signature dish, 1/4 or 1/2 chicken is absolutely amazing! I always add Chipotle Coleslaw and the Black Bean Salad as my sides. I believe the combination of flavors makes an amazing meal. The Black Bean Salad has a vinegar dressing the complements both the spicy Chipotle from the coleslaw and the zesty marinade from the chicken. Absolutely amazing!
Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Beer choices were excellent as was the food. I had the signature half-chicken. Very tasty and the price hasn't gone up in years.
I figured it would be good when I arrived mid-week to a crazy full parking lot. An hour wait got squashed to about 10min which is always a bonus. Chicken was amazing. Server and bar tenders were excellent. I would recommend this to anybody. My party all had chicken but they cater to red meat lovers too. Can't say enough good things about this place. Give it a go. Worth the wait if there is one.
There is something about Silver Spring House that makes you feel like you are on vacation. There are actually many things. The staff always makes you feel welcome and will try their best to make you comfortable even with the large volume of guests. The open air seating is always cooled by a breeze created by dozens of fansor you can sit inside the old restaurant. Keno and sport fill the many screens to keep you drinking and eating from their expansive menu. Everyone leaves with a smile and a full belly.
The wait staff was very nice and proficient. They got our party of 5 seated in 5 minutes on a night where the parking lot was 100% full. The food quality was excellent and i highly recommend the roadhouse burrito. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the pricing. The entrees seemed a bit high price.
Really good food. Nice service. Reminded me if a place on the beach in Florida.
One of my favorite places for wings and beer. Great food. Upscale patrons and service
Great for family. Meeting friends for a drink after work. Nice when weather permits to sit outside and open up bar windows.
I've been here several times especially since all I have to do is walk to the end of my street. We have tried numerous menu items and we've liked everything we've enjoyed so far. I'd say 4 out of 5 times the service has been good. However I do think that their menu is overpriced for sure. Several others I've talked to have also said the prices are way too high for food quality.
Great place for dinner or a happy hour. I'd recommend sitting in the bar area that has the "garage door" type windows that they open in the spring/summer. Has a great atmosphere and can get very busy. They're known for their chicken and it is very good.
