Great friendly service! Buffet was very well stocked with fresh hot food in the middle of the day! Salads, fruit, vegetables, meats, soups, bread, etc! I updated this review after my recent visitthis was areally good meal! I will definitely visit again. Convenient to Interstate 75. Close to gas staions, convenience stores and hotels. Located in a nice small town.
Great family oriented restaurant ,open on Thanksgiving day serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on the bar. They also have to-go dinners for Thanksgiving for large families.
My husband land I were most recently in town for a family member's funeral, and we had supper one evening and breakfast another day here. During both visits the staff we encountered were very friendly. Our supper trip was just so-so. I had the seafood buffet, and the food was good. I was disappointed in the selection though. My husband ordered a sirloin off the menu, and complained that it was tough. Our breakfast trip was better. The selection on the breakfast bar was much better. Other than the grits and eggs being runny the food was better this trip too. I don't think I'd come back again for supper, but would consider the breakfast bar again.
Food bar very good n fresh. Reasonably priced. 11.18.17 5+ Just had breakfast/brunch bar. It was super also. Attentive people keeping it refilled n fresh. Yummy.
Best food is on Sunday for the 'All- you- can-eat ' buffet. More selections of meat. Good selections of entrees.
Awesome food, clean bathrooms, great service best Shoney's I have ever been to.
Our waitress was the BEST! The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The buffet was VERY inviting, well stocked, and clean.

It's been a while since we last ate at this Shoney's, but we've always thoroughly enjoyed our experiences here. Today, however, that was not the case. I understand that Sunday afternoons are typically busy, but from the time we walked in, we were an afterthought. My husband and I have five children, 3 of them under 10, but we had to ask for kids menus. Straws were not offered and our order was mixed up. Then we had to ask for ketchup for the kids' fries.
The food itself was good, as always, but the prices were were not. The buffet, which is the same Sunday buffet we have enjoyed for years, now has a new name: Super Sunday Buffet. And a new price. I usually get the burger because I know I will not get my money's worth from the buffet. But even the burger went up several dollars.
Now I'm not a cheapskate and I have no problem spending $60 on a special meal out IF it's worth it If the atmosphere is peaceful, we're treated like valued guests, and the food is exceptional. None of which we experienced today.
The food was good, don't get me wrong. Just not $60 good.
Sunday buffet had a great variety. Even my picky eater found food he loved. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Its very reasonable for a family with small children. Had a great dinner and will definitely be back.
The breakfast bar in Wednesday night and the seafood bar are my favorite bars. Otherwise I order the Slim Jim or shrimp since I don't like any hamburgers. I love the onion rings too. I wish the bar had a green other than green beans or turnips sometimes but otherwise it is always a great buffet.
This Shoneys was fabulous! We made a special trip from the Atlanta area on our way home just to stop by. The bar was well cared for and the food was fresh and hot, not dried out like you see in some buffets. Our waitress was very attentive and our drinks were kept full. Our sandwiches were ready in no time - hot and delicious - the onion rings were perfect! Real thick onions and crunchy breading. Yum! The peaches on the bar are our all time favorite - so cool and refreshing! These are not canned peaches, we can't get enough of them. We made peaches our salad and desert. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful place. I wish there were more of them! Already planning our next visit!
I eat the breakfast buffet if we eat there in the morning, and order from the menu for lunch or supper. Breakfast bar usually has something for everyone and is hot and well stocked. Their burgers are really great! And save room for that classic hot fudge sundae cakeit is literally unchanged since my grandmother took me to Shoneys in the 70s. Delicious! Sweet tea is usually spot-on too.
This particular location has some of the most cheerful, uber-friendly staff around, never fails. I love being greeted and served by them. Most of them genuinely seem to love taking care of people.
Y'all keep it up, and we'll keep coming on back for more!
It has been a long time since I've eaten at a Shoney's. It was about 8:30p, I was hungry and needed to get outta the truck for a bit. I thought how bad can it be I'll give it a try. Glad I did! The food (salad, country fried steak, mash potatoes, white gravy, corn and sweet tea was very good. The service was top notch, the staff was extremely friendly and all at a very reasonable price. Not sure why I haven't eaten at a Shoney's in so long but if they are like the Shoney's in Forsyth, GA I'm going to start stopping more often.
We stopped here kind of desperate to find somewhere to eat where we could get in quickly. Shoney's fit the bill. The service was friendly with a side of quirky which made things lively. The buffet had a lot of variety but was focused on quantity rather than quality. The other people with me who ordered directly from the menu were happier with their dinner than I was.
