It's been my favorite for more than 35 years. Great pulled pork. Also very good sides. Fried corn on the cob, and jalapeno grits are some of my favorites.

Sorry, but the emperor has no clothes. Brisket was very fatty and greasy. Shouldn't be served with large fat deposits. Same with burnt ends. Flavor was smoke but texture no good. Not slap your momma good. Can't order a dinner salad instead of a side dish. Have to order a separate salad made with iceberg lettuce. Pay full price. Yech. The side orders were good but presentation has much to be desired. Cole slaw overflowing with mayo and liquid. Guess you have little competition. Going to TRH down the road next time.

Great BBQ food. Service is awesome, when they're not too busy, and the prices are right. If you're in the mood for good BBQ, and you don't mind driving a bit south on US 1, then you must try Shiver's BBQ.

Amazing food and good service. Place looks clean and fresh. The exterior can be intimidating but the food is delicious. Tables are like picnic style. Love the atmosphere.

Exceptional place for the price, who cares about fancy or a good looking sit lounge. The food and service are great. I recommend the baby back ribs, Cornbread souffle and sweet potato souffle. Amazing bbq beans are on point and pretty much everything there. Been eating here every now and then for 7 years! Awesome place!

Listen, if you love BBQ, then you have to eat here. Ribs, sandwiches, collard greens come on man! The three meat sandwich was out of sight along with corn soufflé and collard greens, good stuff, great staff. You sit at a picnic table, so if you have troubles lifting your legs, you may want to rethink that. Enjoy!

Best BBQ Ribs in south Florida? Probably! The place is always crowded and it's not fancy at all, but the food is delicious. The BBQ Ribs are great and the pulled pork is just perfect. Please try the Corn Bread Soufflé it's so yummy!

Good BBQ.
Service could have been a little better. It was a little slow, no attitude issue, they were cordial and friendly.
Also the temperature of the meets could have been hotter. It seemed the meats were just warm.

Coming from Europe, this felt like a real American BBQ experience. Friendly staff, especially the hostess. The food was good, although the pulled pork was slightly cold. But other than that, we had a very good meal. The baby back ribs are excellent!

Great Americana atmosphere. The seating is family style with picnic tables. The twist is that yoy are seated by a hostess. Baby back Ribs were delicious. The collard greens were the best I have had.

Food was mediocre, service was horrible. Even in Miami you would think that to a certain extent racism would be a lot less than other places. Our waitress definitely placed more attention and favored to the more Anglo customers than the more Hispanic customers. Definitely they got the warm smiles and quicker service. For bad service from a racist waitress I will never set foot in this place again. Go at your own risk.. That's my advice.

The best BBQ you can find in South Florida! The chicken is delicious, brisket is to die for, ribs are amazing! The collard greens and black eyed peas are the most authentic I've been able to find. Its a very friendly atmosphere since everybody shares picnic tables and rolls of paper towels. If you want fancy, go somewhere else, this is for those not afraid to get dirty!

Wow, Love this fantastic "Q" restaurant. The best on the East Coast, not just Florida. You have to try the brisket, it's worth dying for. THE ABSOLUTE BEST.

Since 1950 this popular dining room located in the agricultural town of Homestead is considered by locals as the best hickory smoked grill restaurant throughout Miami. Their specialties are baby pork ribs, beef ribs, slow cooked smoked meats and chicken, whose generous portions are accompanied by the very southern cornbread, cabbage salad and biscuits. Its long wooden tables which are shared with other guests give the place a homely atmosphere. We will certainly eat there again.

Great home cooked barbecue. This is my go to when I just have a craving for a rack of ribs.
The seating isn't too comfortable- pick nick benches can definitely be a challenge for people with small children, but that doesn't apply to me so it will not affect my rating.
Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is always great!response / report this review
