Posted prices and hours to correct any confusion from previous posts. Consistently good selection, food and service. NOTE: change over to dinner selections starts approx. 2:50pm so some lunch selections such as eggplant become unavailable at that time, well before the lunch time ends. Although dinner selections are out during the change over. If you partake of them you WILL be charged for dinner if you take those dinner selections before 3:30.
They are well marked however so those people we have overheard complaining are NOT correct. The staff seems well able to clearly mark those dinner selections so every one should know. Not exactly sure why they start so early. They could do the change over between 3:30 and 4pm to the dinner selections and those that come in for dinner at 3:30 might need to be patient for a very short while if they are wanting king crab legs or beef ribs for instance. BEST BUFFET IN TOWN. Always fresh and tasty.response / report this review -

One of the cheaper buffets and always well stocked. Could use more hot vegetables in my opinion, and I wouldn't say it's the highest quality ever. But definitely excellent value.

We eat here all the time. Only complaint we really have is the pricing. 12.50 a person and 13.50 on the weekend. Really wish they would consider lowering it to at least 10. That would be fantastic.

We walked in and stood at the counter. The blond lady behind the counter did not acknowledge us at all. People walked in behind us and went to the other end of the counter and were seated immediately. We went to that end of the counter and the 'Hostess' turned her back to us. Again no acknowledgement. Finally turned around and seated is. Waitress was bland to say the least. I figured she didn't want to be there. Got our food. At least that was welcoming. Actually quite good for a buffet. The busboy earned a star back for them. He was on top of his game. For now 3 stars. We'll try again and see how it goes.

Great inexpensive Chinese buffet. VERY clean and food is better than most. They try very hard to keep the food fresh and hot. Service is just okay but and getting more erratic, all else is very good. Good variety of food even at lunch.

Add a star if you are a fan of all-you-can-eat. Food is OK. Service is fast and efficient. Nothing to write home about.

Although I personally did not find many alternatives for the large seafood selection, there is no denying that the food at the Fortune Buffet was absolutely phenomenal. I went with three other individuals and all of them only had positive comments regarding their food and I especially enjoyed the Mongolian chef which is not a feature that I find in very many other Chinese buffets. My only legitimate complaint regarding the buffet would be the hygiene regarding the scoopers for ice cream, but besides that, the Fortune Buffet is a great choice to eat with friends due to its excellent food and reasonable prices.

This is by far the best Asian Buffet I ever ate it!! My family and I come here at least once a month, often twice!!! My son and I hardly ever get past the very fresh, tasty Sushi!!! All the seafood throughout the restaurant taste like they just jumped out of the water!! The meats and salads are excellent also!! This buffet is always busy and a super-excellent value for a very reasonable price!! The restaurant is clean and colorful and the employees are very efficient!! This is my very favorite restaurant in Tom's River!!!

Surprisingly varied and tasty fare for a reasonable price. Oysters, clams and sushi for a $15 dinner? No wonder there was a wait to get into this buffet on a frigid Friday night.

It's not bad. Much better than the other Buffet's around here. It's a little hard to track down a server if you need a refill. And the food is usually rotated pretty quickly.

Large selection of HOT (temperature) food. Always refill food trays. Most important the place IS CLEAN. Staff friendly.
