I never write bad reviews, but the gentleman at the front desk whose name I can’t remember, made my stay less than desirable but if there were more time I would’ve made a formal complaint. I will not go into the details on this forum; however, the overall lack of customer service at this location is surprising to say the least. Front desk employees have been less than welcoming on more than one occasion by either ignoring that you are in line - looking at their computer screen. Then rudely asking “yes?” Or giving you the eyebrow to come forward.
On my most recent stay for a major DoD convention, the staff (each time a male) was just as rude and it makes no difference if you’re a so called elite member as I am. I’m very loyal to the Marriott brand, but stay clear of this particular hotel when possible. It’s clearly in need of better leaders in management positions.

The Sheraton hotel is a great place to stay if you're in the Tyson or Vienna area for business. The rooms feel a touch dated, but overall they're clean and spacious. The views off the upper floors are wonderful. The service was very pleasant. The hotel has a great fitness center, and the pool is warm and large. The hot tub, unfortunately, has been removed and replaced with a decorative arrangement. The hot tub and the fountain that used to run in the pool area would be much nicer to see than this randomly assembled garden. These things don't detract enough to say the hotel isn't worth staying in and I'll be back to the Sheraton next time I'm in the area.

Gorgeous room and facility, but for the price, it ought to have included breakfast. It is very close to a metro station which is convenient if you're going into the capitol. It could also use more parking. There is a Walmart and a couple of restaurants very nearby which is convenient. The conference rooms are neatly kept and well catered.

We booked our wedding block here and encouraged our guests to book here even if they didn't use the blocked rooms. It was great for the shuttle service that took our guests to our reception (which was Wolf Trap--very nearby the hotel) and the staff was overall very polite (minus one rude staff member in the Club Lounge). However, we had quite a few problems that leave me to not recommend them, especially for a wedding.

There was so much confusion the week of the wedding because the event manager I signed the contract with left and so the girl who took her spot had absolutely no idea what the contract terms were and contradicted it many times; I felt like I had to fight for what we had already agreed upon. Not ideal for a bride coming from out of town with a million things to do. They screwed up giving info cards I made and gift baskets to our guests. They charged my husband and I for an unbooked room for one of our guests who booked and was a no-show. Why on earth should we be held responsible for that on the weekend of our wedding with over 130 people coming from all over the country. Fortunately the event manager agreed and said we would be refunded. Well it's been two months and we are STILL waiting for that refund.

We were shooed out of the club lounge the morning after our wedding. We wanted a cup of coffee and I guess the staff member in the lounge thought we didn't belong there even though we told him we staying on the club floor and it was our wedding.

No mini fridge in your room unless you ask for one. There are definitely better places to stay for a lot less in this area. I definitely don't recommend doing a wedding block there.

Personally, I have been to cleaner hostels than this hotel. When my companion and I came to our room we were immediately disturbed by how our room was opened ( we got there at midnight); once in the room we noticed the bathroom wasn't clean, there were damages all along the headboards, the room smelt like someone had spent days smoking in it, and there were rips in the linen. Overall our experience was less than satisfactory. Although we were both thoroughly disappointed, I would like to mention the bed was comfortable.

The rooms were accommodating and clean. The staff was helpful upon check-in and all interactions were well met. Options in the club lounge left something to be desired but at least there is one! Overall a good value for the location. The main restaurant for this property seemed to be a little "market" with limited menu options. No real complaint, as there is plenty to see, do, and eat in the surrounding area.

I chose this hotel for a business trip to the area because I saw that it has a large pool and I was hoping to use it to exercise. (so that's the focus of my review). The pool is large, by hotel standards, just big enough to swim laps, and there is a nice large exercise room adjoining. But no locker rooms or showers. Huh? I guess you are expected to ride the elevator in your wet swimsuit and shower and change in your room. Or change in the bathroom. I can't understand why they would spend the money to put in and maintain a big pool, but neglect to provide locker/changing rooms. The other problem I had with the pool is that the water was too warm - almost like a hot bathtub. Perhaps some people like a warm pool for comfort, but for exercising in it's definitely too warm. (I saw another review that mentioned the pool was cold - must have changed it since then.)

Nice view! I wish I had taken pictures of the room. But it was great, bathroom has the two portion one with sink than a separate door for with tub and toilet! Allows for couples to get things done in the bathroom at the some time, with privacy! My neck and back didn't hurt, so that's my test for a good hotel! Oh, no room service, but the hotel does have a bar, coffee and snack shop!

My friends and I went for a Japanese food expo and the place was beautiful. Nice rooms, nice entrance, and everyone there (even the people who were not involved with the expo) we're very willing to help us find our way around. One of the big things that struck us was the free parking. Many places charge for parking or require some kind of validation. This hotel had free parking regardless, really easing our way through the whole process. The location of the expo was conveniently located very close to Tyson's corner and many great restaurants. I cannot comment on the hotel rooms much as we did not go inside any.

Very professional staff. Excellent facilities. Well lit hallways. Good selection of breakfast and the hotel bar has a nice selection.

Only issue is middle elevator for the building occasionally jams. left and right elevators operate fine, and the middle one should be repaired quickly.

My prom was held at the Sheraton Tyson's hotel on May 20th 2017. It was a very intriguing experience at first when we had to go through many elevators and parts to attend to the prom. I thought it would be much bigger but as we got to the actual area, it was a mere hallway and a big disco dance arena. The venue was set up nicely and the workers were doing their jobs. I just wished it was a bit bigger and with a little more fun activities to do.

Went to a conference for work here. Ample parking available for attendees. Inside isn't completely dark as there's some external lighting in the atrium so you don't feel trapped. The rooms look like they're able to accommodate many sizes of meetings. The food was box lunches and they were average. Same for the snacks provided throughout the day. Bathrooms were clean. Finding power outlets was difficult so be sure to bring your own. Quite a hike from some rooms to the others.

Although this is an older property, the Tysons Sheraton is well-maintained and certainly centrally located. Many restaurants are close, a few walkable, and the lobby bar also serves pretty good food and drinks until late at night. Parking is more than adequate and easily accessible. My purpose while staying here was to attend a professional conference, and the meeting room facilities were also just fine. My hotel room was on the 23rd floor so I was able to enjoy a panoramic view which was quite pleasant. All in all, a fine hotel.
