just a few miles down the road, and it's beautiful. Restrooms are clean and so is the beach!

This has always been a sweet local spot and still is in some respects. The daytime is mostly peaceful and a has decent little beach. Unfortunately, our last visit in the evening was littered with folks stumbling drunk, spewing profanity and racial slurs. Needless to say, it was a very short visit. As with all places, I guess it ebbs and flows. It is sad to see this degenerate to a place I choose not to visit.

Nice quiet beach, the water is pretty clear close to shore. Nice place to take a family.

The beach is alrighty for swimming and sunbathing. There are some sandy areas and a lot of grassy areas which is nice too if you don't like sand. The sand has a lot of large shells so wear shoes.
Dogs are allowed on the beach.
The park has:
Free parking. Free entrance
Bathroom and shower
Paved walkways
Volleyball field
3-4 picknik tables no grills and no fires allowed.
2 or 3 covered pavilions with no tables or chairs so bring your own.
Good for kayaking and boating, fishing. I think there is a public boat ram somewhere nearby.
Overall I liked it except the place seems to be little known and deserted. There are very few people here.

This is a good beach to visit and walk in a nice small community however it is a little muddy and does have oyster shell clusters in the area. There is almost always a nice Breeze in the area which makes it perfect for sailing, windsurfing and fishing.
