We have stayed here in a suite for Thanksgiving and Christmas for many years and hotel has always been nice. We arrived this Christmas at 4:00 to check in only to be told our suite wasn't ready, but we would receive a courtesy call when suite was ready. We grew concerned 3 hours later when we still hadn't received the call. I was told they were sorry but had forgotten to call. When we came to check in we were told our suite wasn't available because a bath tub leaked through the ceiling and were given a lesser room for at a small discounted rate. The heater in the room was noisy and make a clanking sound every 20 minutes which woke us up all night. We were given free breakfast for our ordeals which was nice. The next morning we called front desk and asked for a toothbrush and paste. Room service showed up with a toothbrush and mouthwash. We were told toothpaste wasn't available. We've never had more problems/issues at a hotel. Not sure if we'll be back.
I have been here before and it was so nice to come back .The staff here are friendly and welcoming.Well maintained rooms and super comfy beds
Nice hotel with clean rooms, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The hotel had a nice pool and a lounge area with a bar. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the water, but I think that the water smelled strange throughout the city. Several other establishments in the area had strange tasting and smelling water as well.
Love staying here for business or please. Satff is always kind and helpful. Fast check in and fast check out.
There is no alyptical. No microwave or refrigerator no hot tub for 150$ I expected more from a holiday inn. The place is very clean and awesome for there weddings just don't come here for a casual weekend adventure
Rooms were clean (we were there twice in 2 weeks for several days at a time). Beds comfortable, staff attentive, room service fairly quick and the "build your own burger" was yummy. Restaurant was decent. The pesto potatoes very tasty, my filet was"ok". Only 2 issues, the first room we stayed in (437), the toilet would suddenly run very loud for about 8-10 seconds. We'd be watching TV and it would run or when sleeping it woke me up several times. It occurred about every 20 minutes. We did tell the front desk, but the woman didn't seem to take us seriously; nothing was done. The other issue is if you have hair and like to dry/style it after your shower the hairdryer will take an hour if you have shoulder length hair. The second time we went back I brought my own. Other than that, they were fine stays. Oh, they do a good business here, lots of weddings, so don't think you'll wait to book until the last minute, especially during summer wedding season. It gets filled!
Decent hotel but nothing fancy. Quiet, clean and comfortable. As of my stay in 2017 the decor was dated. Wifi was decent with 3 out of 4 bars.
We had a great experience at Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately our first room had a moldy smell to it, which we are assuming had to do with all the rain we have been getting. We called down to the front desk and without any questions they told us they would find us another room. The original woman that checked us in was busy with another customer so we had a man take care of us and again, great customer service. Both of us are in the service industry and have a great appreciation for great customer service. They delivered.
We were there for wedding. The room was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Never had a complaint!
My husband called and booked an overnight stay with a king bed a week in advance, as well as my sister and brother in law, who had booked weeks in advance. When we checked in they didn't have the rooms we reserved. Apparently none were available.. That is extremely poor costumer service. They told each of us they would give us a whole $10 off for the inconvenience, and I had to stop myself from laughing. For their mistake, they gave us a double for the price of a double? Gee, thanks so much. My In-laws also received complimentary breakfast vouchers to cover both of them, yet my husband and I did not. I also dont like the smell of cigars in the room I'm staying in or the fact that we could hear running water through the walls. I'll give it 3 stars only because the next shift of front desk attendees were nice and funny and our server at breakfast was amazing, if it wasn't for those two people and the view of the lake at breakfast and the fact that the food itself was pretty decent for a buffet, you'd get a 1 from me. If we didn't need to get to a wedding, I would have spent much longer checking in
Had the Mother's Day brunch here and it was really worth it. The food was great and there was a lot of it. Definitely going g back for brunch again!
Staff courteous. Well maintained lobby and bathrooms. Greeted on arrival. Conference room cold, but provided hot coffee or tea and cold water. Lighting and seating comfortable. Sound and visual aids worked well and presenter had no technical difficulties. Overall a great experience.
The staff at the Holiday Inn was very polite and attentive. Our room had a hot tub and was very spacious. The location of the hotel is good for activities in the area but there is no food within walking distance.
