I love coming to this store, I have never had a problem. I see a lot of bad reviews but I personally have never had a problem. I will continue shopping here, as it is one of my favorites!
I'd give less starts if I could. Made me and my year old wait for 30minutes to find someone to exchange a tool just to find out they don't exchange tools. Craftsmen has a lifetime warranty and this store won't exchange a tool that ha's never been opened. Still in packaging. I've spent thousands here. Won't ever come here again. Worst place ever
Avoid at all cost. I've never regretted a purchase as much as I have this. Spent $2100 dollars with Sears and they have screwed it up at every opportunity. Cancelled my order accidentally twice, and the third order for appliances has been delayed by a week, TWICE now! That's bad enough, but the worst part in nobody gives a damn. I asked to have the Lakewood store GM call me. Left my number, never heard from him. Both my wife and I have asked to speak with supervisors on the "costumer service", either sat on hold forever (30 min before we gave up) or asked them to call and never heard from them. We have a baby, and and are living without oven, DW, and W/D. We're making the best of it, but these things were supposed to be delivered two days before we moved in. But like I said NOBODY CARES. We tell people the story, and they say "well at least you must be getting a nice discount". When we tell not a single person has even contacted us, they can't believe it. Please do yourself a favor, an avoid this company at all cost!!
I came in around 8 last night. They had the dryer I wanted to buy. I had money in hand to spend there. But guess what? No one offered to help us. There was one man there trying to get a couple to buy a fridge. We didn't need to be talked to. We just wanted to order the dryer and spend the 1k needed for it. Darn. They would have had a sale had ANYONE bothered to even wave "hello", as we waiting for 20 minutes. There was one guy in the department over that looked at us and didn't ask us if we needed help. He just continued to clean his area up, but totally ignored us.
I received some tools and a creeper at Christmas from sears. The creeper broke almost instantly and the socket holders there just suck. I am very busy and could not get to the store right away. When I showed up to exchange the items, I was told the creepers are not under warranty. And since I did not make it in time I could not exchange the socket holders. I have tried several times to post a bad review on their app for the products but they do not allow me to post bad reviews. It was a bad experience and now I know you get what you pay for. Even harbor freight has better quality tools and definitely better customer service. This goes to show why they are going out of business. It is not a good business model to sell inferior products and then refuse to exchange them. I will find someone else to give my business to and so should you.
Absolutely terrible experience today! Walked in the store for a couple items while there I seen a good deal on a set of Fluke SureGrip Test Leads. At the check out I was told I could not buy them, called over a manager and they promptly took them and said they where not for sale. All my knowledge shows they are not subject to recall. they had the SureGrip logo. Only sets recalled is as follows from Fluke's web site:
Sold at: Home and hardware stores and electrical distributors nationwide from December 2002 through March 2004. The leads sold individually for about $18. Fluke multi-meters and accessory kits containing these leads sold for between $45 and $450.
My best guess why they wouldn't sell them is because Sears is over their head in value. Another words they have less merchandise then what they owe to there suppliers. Its said to see an old american business go down hill but buyer beware when shopping at a store that's guaranteed to go out of business. After all Kmart who owns Sears did file for chapter 11 Bankruptcy some time ago making them the largest US retailer to ever file chapter 11. So again buyer beware! Here is something from USA Today:
Sears, an iconic department store chain whose name is as steeped in Americana as apple pie and Levi's jeans warned that it might be going the way of the blue light special, uncertain that it can survive more than another year in the midst of the upheaval that has disrupted the retail industry.
Labor day prices are great! Nice Customer service
I love the customer service. .they are some great people and the clothes are price just right.
Purchased a mattress that was faulty and played hell getting it returned. Store and personnel were good...the phone number you called to get help was all people from a foreign country and you couldn't understand a word they said. They were also RUDE. I used to like Sears...wouldn't shop there now if my life depended on it!
Great store one of my favorites ! Always clearence staff well train able to help you with all your needs always try to come back atleast 2 a month ..
Very well informed and nice salesman helped us purchase an electric grill for our kitchen. Kudos to him.
They have absolutely no customer service. I found some cookware upstairs that I was interested in but they had two different prices. I looked around for a floor person and could not find one so I went downstairs. I asked the lady that was working downstairs if anyone was working up stairs. She said no so I told her well I'm going to Walmart.
Like most people in their twenties or thirties I never shop at Sears. Then I started refinishing my garage. Sears has Gladiator brand shelving and cabinets which are excellent products. They also had some cheap deals on them with Shop Your Way points back on your purchase. I used their 5-minute pickup option and surprise surprise it took less than 5 minutes. I walked in the back door and was greeted by an employee who found my purchase and brought it to my car all in a few minutes time. It seems like Sears has done a lot of things to try and stay solvent as a company. The quick pick up from the back of the store and the good prices on Gladiator products will have me coming back in the future.
