Excellent experience. Rooms are spacious, the pool and hot tubs are clean, and the poolside grille/bar are convenient. Only a few hours from the Grand Canyon and Valley of Monuments. Having a kitchen helped save on meal costs.
The location of the resort in relation to museums, malls and eateries was great. The unit we had was plagued with two problems that definitely need to be fixed by the resort : 1) the shower's water pressure was extremely week, 2) the tub drained very, very, very slowly. It was quite a nuisance even though there were only two of us. Because of the extremely weak water pressure, it took us a long time to finish showering. Then, to make matters worse, it took 30-45 minutes for the water to completely drain from the tub. Sad.
The hotel is quietly tucked away in a calm part of Scottsdale so there is no heavy traffic noise nearby. The room I looked at was more like a little condo that was 2 stories! They have a fun little mini golf course that my children loved!
Love the setting of this resort, with Camelback Mountain practically in your backyard. Our year is not complete without a visit to this place. Pool/bar is great place to forget all else. Great, accommodating staff too. And awesome tennis courts.
Great Stay! We only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The late (4pm) check in and early check out (10am) kept it from being 5 star to me.
Got a massage at the spa. Nice place overall, staff were friendly, and the facilities were clean and neat. Pool access was good, they had a pretty big kid's pool for any parents out there
I've been coming here for years and love the location and staff.
I also highly recommend it to people.
It can be a very social vacation stop. You will meet people that have been coming here for years, but they can be very friendly and welcoming.
Did I mention that I love the location? Easy walk into downtown Scottsdale, the Fashion Mall and Old Town, fancy an ice cream? Plenty to try before you give up and return to the Sugar Bowl!
Also the free tram that runs from the Fashion Mall will get you acquainted with the whole of Old Town.
Really nice area, clean rooms. Decently priced drinks at the pool. Only complaint is the number of kids around.
I've been to Camelback several times before as a guest- this particular occasion was dropping a friend off. However, each and every time I've been as a guest it's absolutely stunning. Especially during the spring, the weather is great. The plants all bloom, the staff is polite and professional, and the grounds are clean. Big fan of Camelback.
The rooms are really great and a good size. It feels like your home. There are few activities that are free and fun for all ages. The gym is small, but not very busy. The pool is very crowded, hot, and salt water it is not very refreshing in the extremely hot weather. Other outside activities are not well shaded and unused often. It is a nice place to stay if you plan on going out to sight see and have fun.
