Emergency department is the worst ever. Its to bad when Drs let their ego get in the way of patient care. When you try and talk with the admin, they cant admit to themselves things arent how they see it. I suggest going to madison.
Doctor advised to get a blood panel done and told me he would contact when results were in. Was never contacted by him or notified the results were in until I stumbled upon them on mychart. Have been contacted a lot for the bill of $600 though.
Went in a day after a fall. My pinky finger was at a 90 degree angle hanging off my hand. I popped it back in place myself but by the second day the pain was unbearable so i decided to get it checked out. After the doctor checked the x-ray i was told it was a sprain. The only suggestion that was made was a splint and ibuprofen. I mentioned that the ibuprofen was not working for the pain and was told there wasn't anything they could do for me. I've had sprains before and this was not a sprain. I would suggest driving into Madison for care.
The ER staff (many who still work here) saved my life in 2015. Dr. Youngren stabilized me and accurately diagnosed me with myocarditus and urgently sent me to cardiology at UW. The nurses, two Susans, and tech Drew, were constantly moving and doing what they could to make me more comfortable. Got to UW and the diagnosis was confirmed by cardiology. The tests that followed spotted some other issues that were taken care of as well, that would have been lethal in a short amount of time. Most small towns in Wisconsin have to drive a half hour to the nearest emergency room. We are blessed in the Sauk Prairie Area to have a place to go that can stabilize a patient, accurately diagnose the situation, and get the appropriate action to remedy. The foresight of the Sauk Prairie community to have this available is exceptional. I would trust the staff of this hospital anyday with my life.
Oh my gosh! We had super service from the nurses, docs, etc. What fabulous facility! Nurses Anne, Sarah & Rebecca were favorites.
Waited until 1230 am to move my sister in law 4 hours after she gave birth, moved her to a rehab wing because they claimed they needed the space. There is no one else in the wing. Waited until just after midnight to move her so they could bill as a full day in maternity. The rehab wing is not secure or clean like the maternity ward is. People can just come and go as they please. Can't dim the lights in her room, drywall is showing on the walls, left the baby in the room so my sister in law could not sleep. This is not right! Avoid this place at all costs. We will be contacting an attorney and reporting them for insurance fraud. Avoid this place!! They are terrible and pay for positive reviews!
Nurses & doctors are amazing. They are friendly and so helpful. The birthing suites are equally as wonderful!
Drove all the way out here from The Dells because the reviews were horrid for the other hospitals. It was well worth the drive. Brand new facility, super clean, no wait time. Nice, friendly staff who took great care of me. Felt like a guest, not an inconvenience.
I love this hospital. I had a knee replacement here and shoulder surgery. The whole staff treats you with utmost respect and kindness.
I took my son to the urgent care for an ear infection. The staff and providers were excellent. We were seen promptly and they were all very kind and caring. A great facility.
Hospital clean and nice but very disappointed in professionalism. Saw PA in Pain Management on a Thursday. Was told I would be receiving a call back that very same day to give me xray results and next step, which was supposed to be a special cream scrip. I never received call that dayNOR did I receive a call on Friday. Left 2 messages with nursing staff. Still never received any calls as of Monday. Spent entire weekend in pain. Finally receive a call at 4 p.m. Monday to schedule nerve block. I'm thinking yayprogress! Was told the soonest I could get in was 2 months!! Are you serious? Is this how you treat people who are in severe pain? This is so unacceptable and the whole situation has been so unprofessional. I still have not had any contact back from patient care staff and am still in severe pain. It is now Tuesday. I do not recommend this clinic.
Medical Professionals are wonderful people but they bill at a much higher rate than average. Also ran into an experience where they charged a much higher rate for the same doctor visit and where unwilling to budge. I would recommend a different hospital if you would want to be treated fairly and with respect. They may advertise as a friendly small town hospital, but their billing practices are not ethical.
