SanTan has an extraordinary selection of their own craft beers, as well as excellent food options. Parking in the area can be kind of a hassle, but that is really the only downside. Would recommend.
If you're looking for a brewery to go eat at, SanTan is one of the best of a growing number of options in the Phoenix area.
When I arrived it was pretty busy (a Sunday afternoon, definitely expected). My party of two was seated quickly and we were seen and taken care of in the rush with no problems or delays.
I did get the impression the server wanted us to order quickly, though my plan was to have appetizers slowly, get kinda drunk on a few beers, and then order actual food when we were ready. I let him know this and he totally understood and kept the pace mellow for the rest of our time.
I had the daily lunch special, a Devil's Ale Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and holy cow I'd love to see it on the regular menu. Great breading, fantastic sauce, enormous portion. I gave the Yotes hibiscus ale a shot today as well, and I'm a big fan. Love anything with hibiscus. All in all, absolutely delicious.
Thanks again SanTan crew, especially our server Shane! You were awesome, and I'll be back!
Awesome.food, decent beer ( not award winning TBH) . Great service and atmosphere.
Well that was my five star review. Tonight I noticed a menu and price change.
I don't know what's going on with downtown Chandler, but if you pay 12.75 for 2 tacos, you're a sheep. 12.75 for 2 tacos??? I actually moved to downtown Chandler to be near San Tan Its going to to take me a while, but I'm going to stop coming here. I'm also going to stop inviting my friends here. And I'm also going to tell people I know that go here to stop coming here. I won't support greedy business owners
As a craft beer lover from Canada I highly recommend this place. Stopped in for lunch expecting your usual pub food but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. The Moon Juice Galactic IPA was my favorite and wish I could have it back home. Definitely worth the drive from Scottsdale just to have some quality beer.
Although you don't expect bar food to be great, everything is made with the fullest flavor. Their specials are paired with beer. Highly recommend the pilsner on tap and the burgers. The side of fries will be a crunchy touch!
Great beer, great service!
For such a big brewery, they have very little bathroom space. This was a topic of discussion between other women and I while waiting in line. (Only 2 stalls??)
This place was hoppin. Very busy for a Tuesday evening. Our waiter Andrew was on point . Very helpful with ordering. The beer selection was great. We all liked what we ordered. I got the enchiladas and they were delicious. Great place for food and drinks. Was a little loud but the place was packed . The humus appetizer is a must . All in all a 10.
Where to start.. We to begin with my waitress seemed condescending immediately. I appreciate a good friendly and helpful server not one with somewhat belittling undertones. As far as the beer, good stuff, the one I picked was a little heavy but great once I had food. But the food was a big disappointment. My sandwich was falling apart dry enough that I had to ask for sauce. Not too bad after adding bbq and eating with a fork, but I don't think it's too much to ask for a sandwich that I can eat with my hands and not have falling out all over the place. My wife ordered a hamburger cooked rare and that was absolutely disgusting. It came out so burnt that when she asked my to taste it I refused simply from smelling charcoal from a foot away. Not to mention my sister had undercooked fish. Fries were pretty good though(:
I just had my wedding there, both ceremony and reception and they did a great job. The air conditioning unit had gone out and they were quick to have it fixed since it was the hottest day to date. Food was fantastic and did a wonderful job setting up. The room was great for a smaller group (we had about 45) and felt comfortable not cramped . I have been there multiple times and tried new entrees each time and have not been let down once. Very affordable for a wedding and it was a great overall experience!
Last night was the worst service I have ever received at this bar. We were at a table in the bar area. When we sat down we were asked for our drinks right away. However once I was done with my first drink my glass sat empty for at least 30 minutes before the waiter noticed and asked if we wanted another drink. Once it was delivered it took another 20 minutes for us to get his attention so we could order food. 30 minutes go by and they deliver us the wrong food and didn't even have the right food ready. We then asked for our check and left. I will be back but I hope I don't receive service like this again.
Great service! Tried the raspberry cider and it was excellent, very smooth and not too sweet. They also have a pilot list of beers for the adventurous.
Both the food and the beer are excellent. Friendly, accommodating staff. Lots of interesting looking restaurants and bars in the area, but this one would be hard to beat. Plenty of parking within walking distance too.
I wouldn't say this is the best beer in the southwest, but it is worth checking out. The food is unbelievable though.
I came here on a suggestion from where I was staying. It's a really cool spot. Really good beer, with great chicken fingers. The burger was good too, but not the best. Really liked the inside of the restaurant. It was crowded on a Friday night, but I had no trouble getting seated.
Stopped for a later lunch because of the reviews. Was seated right away. They have a wide assortment of craft beers brewed by them on site. My wife had there specialized burgers and I had there grilled chicken sandwich. If the rest of there food is as good as what we had they sure have a winning combination. Will be back many times.
