  Gentle Ben's (or just "Ben's" for those in the know) is a University staple. It's big enough that they can accommodate large groups, but still intimate enough that the bartenders know your name.
  
  Come during happy hour (sit upstairs if you can) and order the nachos (large enough to share) and a Copperhead Pale Ale. 👍

  Came on a Sunday night. It was a very empty restaurant and it was only two of us. Waited for about 5 minutes for someone to seat us and when they did, no one came back to the table for about 20 minutes. And by 20 minutes, I really do mean 20 minutes. As a server myself, I know customers can exaggerate a bit but seriously that was ridiculous. Finally the guy comes back to take our order. Ordered at 7:25pm and didn't receive the food until 8:08 pm. Once we got the food, my burger had completely fallen apart. The server only came back to the table once, which was because I asked him for the check. Very awful customer service. I work as a server at IHOP and let me tell you, we know a lot more about what good customer service is, ironically. And we still can manage to get to all of our tables and make sure the customer has a good experience. Thought Gentle Ben's would be better than IHOP.

  The beers we tried were delicious, as was the carnitas quesadilla. Great quality ingredients and attentive cooking make for great flavor. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We will return!

  I have known Richard and his staff for quite sometime. They are very prompt and professional and the food is great. My dad and Uncle love coming here when they come to town! Bens is the place to be for great food and beers! Highly recommended!

  You have got to be kidding me with this place. From out of town and was recommended. My party of only 3 were greeted and seated but no one came to our table for 20 minutes. We at this point just made a decision to just leave. Not even a hello or we will be right with you. I get when establishments get busy but you MUST acknowledge every guest. Poor customer and will never go back!

  Love the lizzy salad and the pork tacos are delicious. The raspberry lemonade is super refreshing. Perfect place to hang out on university. Family friendly.

  They had a good local beer selection, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly. The Carne Asada Steak was very flavorful and very tender, cooked exactly as I ordered it! The rice and beans were overcooked and crispy but they had such a good flavor that I ate them anyway! If it were not for the overcooked rice and beans they'd get the fifth star.

  Delicious! Stopped by here between classes when they opened. Delicious Hefeweizen and French Dip. Food was hot and the fries had some sort of spice that made them tasty. Staff was friendly as well, will probably stop by in the future.

  Took 20 plus minutes to get water another 10 to get a beer. Food was blah. Fries were overcooked and BBQ sauce was glorified ketchup. Over not good. To top it off the beer was served in a warm glass.

  My friends and I are regulars, we come every weekend for dinner. It's a nice relaxing place to wind down from a busy week. Another big important thing that keeps us coming back is the fact that Gentleben's does honor the discounts given in the pocket points app.

  All there food is great but can work a little more on service. Last time we were there is took the waiter 25minutes to take our order. Then after we got our meals I asked for more water and guacamole, he forgot about it and I asked him again. I didn't get me water or guacamole until I finished my food. Bi the food was delicious either way
