Definitely don't leave ANYTHING in your car! There was a surprise $100 deposit that we didnt know about prior to booking. The room was ok, smaller them I thought it would be, but clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! NO BREAKFAST unfortunately.
One star is generous. Rooms are old and smells moldy. The electric plugs don’t work well. If you wanna work with this wifi, forget it. The upload takes forever.
The location is nice though.
You get what you paid for.
You get what you pay for, and this hotel is "cheap" compared to the rest of the city for a good reason. The walls are paper thin, the neighborhood makes you fear for your safety, the windows won't lock, you'll have to fight for your deposit back. This being said, it's near a lot of public transport.
Don't expect nice. It's bare bones basics.
But parking is safe. The neighborhood seems very safe, at the point where Civic Center meets The Lower Castro, and with The Mission to your back.
Nice staff.
But we don't regret paying $110 for a room that sleeps 5 tightly, that was very conveniently located, 1 block from Muni trains, 15 minutes to the Embarcadero, and an easy safe 25 minute train ride to Oracle Park.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
I didn't have any issues while staying here, don't believe all the things people say until you experience something for yourself. I stayed for a total of 9 days it's the most affordable in the better area compared to other cheap motels to the same degree in San Francisco, the service from the employees was good and had no issues. The rooms were clean and everything worked. Didn't have a vehicle so didn't have to worry about parking, overall I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again if I had to stay in a hotel in the city again.
