Open and spacious station with great connection between commuter trains (Frontrunner, light rail (Trax), and buses. No climatized waiting area.
The adjacent platforms serve Amtrak’s Intercity long distance trains.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. DANGEROUS. YOU WILL BE SUBJECTED TO GANG ACTIVITY AND TRANSIENTS. AMTRAK IS A SHAM. FLYING IS CHEAPER AND YOU WON'T BE TREATED LIKE THE TRASH WHO WORK THESE TRAINS.

the woman with the long dark curly hair who works overnight is a terrible person. she only came out from behind the glass to have a smoke with her girlfriend. if you attemp to ask her a question she will bite your head off. she DOESN'T DESERVE A JOB.

the zephyr was three hours late because of RAIN. rain! no joke. also no joke, if you're unfortunate enough to be there after hours, expect groups of junkies to wander in to scope out what you have.

worst night of my life. never again, amtrak.

UTA is a great transit sysem. One of the more massive ones in the United States. I've been riding since I was 7, now at 25 they have trains both local and commuter, and have expanded so much in 18 years to provide better customer flow and transport. UTA also runs the Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah county areas #RideTheTrain

The workers are helpful and kind. It's not super comfortable and it's not fast. It's not the cleanest place.

Even though it's in a bad part of town, the City Station is a great place to catch a Trax, the UTA busses and the long-distance Front Rurunner. The station is clean on the inside and despite being surrounded by the local homeless population it feels safe. The UTA police are always somewhere around the area or parked out front and keep the homeless from begging everyone for money. This place is great and safe, even with the local residents. -Chris

The good: it's clean, quiet, the staff is friendly and very helpful.

The bad: long term Amtrak parking isn't clearly marked as such, and it's tricky to get from the parking lot to the Amtrak office with a wheelchair. Once inside, the ladies room is almost inaccessible by wheelchair because the benches are so close, the door is so heavy, and the accessible stall door is narrow. This station is also on the sketchy side of downtown - I almost didn't feel safe catching a 3am California Zephyr because of the surrounding area.

This is a great hub to catch the Frontrunner or the blue line to downtown. Lots of seating but a lot of it leaves your knees in the rain if you're sitting on the covered benches.

For travelers arriving late at night- taxis seem to be an issue. I suggest Uber. Had a GREAT driver, very personable and went STRAIGHT to our destination. Much more economical as well.

When getting off the train facing the station, there is a roundabout to the left of the courtyard area. People naturally go to the front of the station by the Trax stops.. dont do that :) if you are looking for a taxi.

Very small, warm station and there is staff there until about a half hour from disembarking. Friendly staff. I felt safe. Seems to be a warming stop for homeless though. I didn't have any problems except for one panhandler.
