I made an appointment to the hairdresser whom I didn't know and did regret after that. I wanted to go to other woman, but she was busy that day.
And I made appt with Amanda. She takes more expensive than others in this salon, but now I'm surprised why. I showed my hair length, said i want to trim it for 3 inches. She didn't let me finish and said "ok, ok let's wash your hair". After that she asked other girl who work there to wash my hair and went to do something else.
Then i had to wait till she comes and starts with my hair, it seemed she didn't care about her clients. I showed again which length i want. And she made sure and showed me if that length is ok, I said her "NO, NOT THAT SHORT", I thought she understood.
Aaand guess what was the result. She cut my hair twice shorter than i asked. And at the end she said that I wanted like that!

I have been to many salons around Palatine and I have to say that Salon Lorrene is by far better than the rest! Friendly staff and great hair stylists. Brianna is the best!!!

I have been going to Salon Lorrene for the past 4 years. This is hands down the best salon in the Chicago Suburbs. It is clean, well run, organized, and the services are exceptional. I have been going to Amanda since day one. In my 35 years of searching for the perfect stylist I have to say, I've finally hit the jackpot. Amanda is a color genius. She listens well, always understand exactly what I'm looking for or trying to accomplish and will gently guide me in understanding what will and wont work on my hair. She has done Balayage, full color and Ombre' for me overt the years and I can't even begin to tell you how many people have complimented my hair!!! She also is amazing with cut. I have had long hair my entire life so I'm very stingy when it comes to cut it. I've been to so many stylist who see some split ends and can't help but cut and cut, but if you tell Amanda 1/2 an inch, she will cut 1/2 an inch. I also REALLY value her input and knowledge. So if I ask her "what do you think" I know she will give me an honest, candid and knowledgeable response. A year ago I moved out of the area and I continue to make the drive to Salon Lorrene and Amanda not only because of the amazing hair I get from seeing Amanda, but because of the entire experience and feeling I get walking into and leaving Salon Lorrene. A+++ in my book!

I can't say enough good things about this salon! I just took my 10 year old son to Kayla and he came away with the best haircut he has ever had!!! He has tons of cowlicks and she knew exactly how to handle them. He has walked out of many haircuts feeling extremely upset. We had the exact opposite experience at Salon Lorrene! He loves his new haircut!!! Thank you Kayla for making my 10 year old son happy and feeling good about himself!!! We'll definitely be back!

Lindsey t. Makes my hair beautiful for years i used box dye and at one point, my hair was purple. She got all the dye out andcwas able to make my hair white. So friendly and gentle with your hair.

I would highly recommend this salon, it is neat, modern, clean and very orderly. Kylie did my hair exactly how I explained I would want it to look like. She was very timely and made you feel at home. 10/10 recommend this salon and will definitely go back.

I have had bad experiences with a few stylists here just because of how they've cut my bangs (sounds silly, but it's important to me) however there are quite a few talented people here. Personally, I love going to see Kristin :)

I have been a client/customer of Salon Lorrene since it opened and I couldn't be happier with the service and professional treatment I receive each time that I go there. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it!

I did a lot of research before finding this salon. I was looking for someone who was knowledgeable with color, to fix bad highlights I had been given at other salons. I have been so happy with my color and cuts with my new stylist. She actually really listens and remembers your likes and dislikes. I always leave very happy with my hair! There are many stylists and it is always busy (good sign that they are each very good) Highly recommend giving them a try!

STOP!! This is YOUR salon!!!!
I've never had a better stylist than the girl (Shay) I had today! My hair is extremely hard to get the perfect colors and depth.in fact no one has ever been able to do it exactly the way I wanted it.but she was able to get it PERFECT!! I took the advice of others on yelp and asked for "Shay"
I promise you - you will never go anywhere else once Shay does your hair!! The salon is very clean and everyone is wonderful there! Also, ask for Kayla as a shampoo girl - she's GREAT
I never even knew this salon existed until I found it on Yelp - so wanted to add to all the great reviews!!
Ask for Shay and if you tell them Shannon Thomas referred you, you get $10 off :)
