  Went to Mannheim Steamroller concert, Music was great, light show could have been better were it not no for the exposed stanchions and trusses on the ceiling, but seating was absolutely horrible, fold up chairs for $60 dollar seats really? Packed like sardines. Want to enjoy a music concert go to Roanoke much nicer facilities, as for Salem stick to rodeos and monster trucks.

  The Salem fair is so family-friendly doesn't cost to get in lots of shows and things to see for free great rides and food lots of exhibits it truly is a must do, annually!'Never gets old
  
  The Salem Civic Center campus/complex offers such a wide variety of venues unlike most civic centers- concerts, football, baseball, et they do a great job w bringing all kinds of entertainment to the area!

  Riverdance show was great -- a 5 out of 5. This rating concerns the wait in line and seating. 1) I question why we were not allowed to sit at our assigned seats instead of waiting in a line in the lobby for 45 minutes (yes, we were there early, always). 2) Worse, I purchased what was supposed to be good seats at the end of an aisle (seats #1 & 2), but instead found we were at the very end of a makeshift row setup where we had to look through railings that were set up for safety reasons. View was horrible since the railings were there. Last 2 columns of chairs should not have been there. Very bad. We asked the usher if we could move and he graciously agreed which saved our night from being a total flop. Thank goodness for that.

  The friendly people and smiles from the moment you enter go aomg way to setting the tone for an entire night. Having been to many stadia and arenas around the country, very few make you feel at home as the Salem Civic Center. It isn't the most modern and they use that to their advantage, not an excuse. No matter what you come for, they're happy to have everything you there. And plenty of parking!

  Love when TNA Impact Wrestling entertainment comes to the arena. Hope that the next event is Live IMPACT TV tapping.
