Amazing gift shop and if you're traveling the beautiful blue ridge parkway I would suggest stopping by and checking it out.
Last weekend they are open for the year. Was freezing and windy. Food hot, fast and good. Mill photos beautiful.
My husband & I had lunch here. It was pretty good overall although service was a little lacking. The pumpkin ice cream was absolutely delicious! The gift shop was small but had a few nice things. A little pricey though.
Great place and environment especially in the fall. While the restaurant was okay it certainly is not a 5 star worthy establishment
My wife and I had breakfast on a Friday morning before the restaurant was extremely busy, service was quick and the food was great. The portion sizes were adequate. I recommend visiting this place.
Super cute place. Food is ok. Chicken salad had no flavor. Waitress had no sense of humor. The staff that greeted you and that worked in the gift shop were very friendly.
Great place to stop on Blue Ridge Parkway. Restaurant serves good homemade food. Staff very friendly and efficient. We've only eaten breakfast there but do go out of our way to do that
Delicious food, great service and a beautiful place to get out and stretch your legs.We make a ranger who gave us directions to a fabulous ridgeline hike.
Food was better than you would expect from what some people call a tourist trap.
It might not be the freshest locally sourced ingredients, but somebody in the kitchen is definitely preparing delicious food.
The mill exhibit is also worth stopping by for.
I went on a Tuesday so not a crowd my waitress was very friendly. I had the fried green tomato, pimento cheese, and bacon sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious and very reasonably priced!
Interesting stop off. Tour the mill and eat Without having to leave the parkway
We went to Mabry Mill restaurant last weekend, our experience was pretty poor. While we expected the 1.5 hour wait to seat three people due to the huge number of people during the fall foliage season, it wasn't worth the wait this time.
My wife ordered the ham & pimento cheese sandwich with fries - it came out extremely salty, to the point of being nearly inedible. The fries were also cold, and not terribly tasty.
I ordered the long haul with pecan pancakes, scrambled egg and sausage with grits. The pancakes were good, but I have had better from Cracker Barrel. The grits were barely warmed, ilthe soft butter I put in it didn't even melt.
The service was good, our waitress was attentive and answered our questions cheerfully. However, we were used to getting biscuits with our meal, and we're informed that the new management has decided to stop that service.
Overall, I feel that our meal this visit was simply not worth the significant wait or even the generally low bill we paid. This restaurant is a definite stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the management should take the time to consider what would provide the best services to their customers. The dining room needs to be expanded to seat more guests, biscuits should be offered to every table, and quality control meas should be put in place to ensure that customers get a quality experience.
