Saffron was a legendary Thai place for a long time and was dependably great. It was sold a couple years ago. Now it is sadly Thai in name only, the management isn't from Thailand and the food quality has noticeably declined. Was a 10 out of 10 would go again, not is is a "will never go again" for me.

heard good things about this place but it was a huge letdown. the pad see ew had garlic or onion powder sprinkled on top which was the only thing that gae it any flavor. The chicken breast meal was tasteless and dry. I have no idea why people come here.

I've dined at Saffron hundreds of times over the course of the last 17 years. The restaurant is under new management, and although the decor has been upgraded, the food has dropped off considerably. The ingredients are still fresh, but without the hovering presence of the former long-time owner/chef, Saffron has reverted to middle of the pack.

I've been coming to this restaurant for decades. It is definitely one of the best tasting cleanest Thai food restaurants in San Diego. They offered great prices and excellent service.

Excellent food. Fast service. Most of the staff are not English fluid but they work it out. Flavor is intense on their plates. Always the right temperature and prices are good.

Crispy pork belly!! With any rice, garlic, fried or white..incredible!!
My favorite Thai in a phenomenal area known for Thai restaurants. This place has the best crispy pork belly, done right with just the right amount of crisp. Have been here numerous times, never disappointed. Super recommend, especially since they get the spice levels right. A medium spice has my eyes watering!

Pad Thai here was good! Gave 3 stars because it wasn't spicy at all and I am used to a little kick. Generous portion, I ate mine twice. The Thai tea is delicious. I got my food via postmates to go and this restaurant made sure everything was packed really well. I will definitely order from here again.

Not sure why anyone would give this place less the 4 stars. All their items are excellent and my favorites are tomato basil, Japanese pan noodles, and mc and cheese. For the price you can't go wrong. If you want high end food go to high end place as this is really a fast in high quality noodle and sandwich place.
