Cute place, very reasonable price. There is a court yard area in the back with a pool and covered smoking area.

Zero smoke smell. New remodeled shower, in my room at least. Really friendly staff. Spot on for the price point.

The Safari is a very good value - good rates, comfortable and nice n' quiet! No upstairs here - just one row of good rooms - which is a big deal for me because I need to work in my room. The proprieters have been very good to me here - no complaints. Regular coffee and bath service - and parking where I can see my car (also important). Can not beat the price and last but not least - there are animal sculptures in a courtyard area in back that I really like. You can sit outside on a nice night and watch the stars.

Very rude. Passed judgement without listening. Slammed door in face. Looking for a room for our elderly parents. We and our small dog weren't staying here. No communication. Just said no pets and slammed the door. Place may be nice but the owner is nasty rude. Maybe to many bad experiences in the lodging business. Sell your business if you hate it so much. Slamming the door in a strangers face is the ultimate in rudeness. We sleep in our Tesla from time to time It has climate control. And you are a liar. We have video too. You saw a dog in a car and made false assumptions without discussion. Female, elderly Asian opened door next to little window and said no petsand slammed the door in my face. Four witnesses. Maybe you having bad day. If I was owner, I be very nice. Can't hide the view no matter what you say or do.

Great price for the location and time of year, very friendly owner/staff. Perfect for climbers/hikers seeking a shower and bed for the night or fleeing the elements. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area

Our road weary eyes were a little disappointed when we checked in but after grabbing dinner at the nearby Saloon and getting a good night's sleep, we thought the Safari Inn provided a safe, clean and comfortable, if a tad dated and slightly dusty, room. The back patio was a welcoming sight in the morning sunlight. We were disappointed that the pool was closed, however. Walking distance to Joshua Tree's North entrance and Visitor's Center. Staff was courteous. We got a good night's sleep for a good price.
