I'm giving this establishment in which we will refer to as "hell" an extra star for the location. I used a kleenex to dry off from my shower because it was thicker then the towels provided. I did however get to check off an item from my bucket list 5 times. I always wondered what it would be like to get stuck in an elevator. In fact there is a direct line to the lobby bc of the frequency in which this occurs. The bedwell it's not something you will find at the Waldorf Astoria, however i do believe the homeless shelter donated them to this fine establishment. The bathroom has a not so clean toilet brush and the door doesn't exactly shutor lock for that matter. My favorite part was the bathroom light switchit took about 20 mins for the damn thing to turn the lights on. No parking was a classy finishing touch to my experience. Aside from that, i think it is a quaint place to crash after a night of partying, definitely not for more than a night
This is quaint and centrally located place to stay. The staff was very friendly, and my stay there was very good overall. When I am back in this area, I will definitely be back.
The staff is helpful especially Eunice at front desk. The room is pleasant and gives you the since your in your home away from home. It's nice and quiet on the floor I'm on. There's even friendly guest. I love the environment.i would recommend to a friend.
Staff was very nice. The bathrooms were a little small, and the shower head was leaking so it sprayed in a lot of the wrong directions. And it wouldn't allow me to use just the faucet. The bed was comfortable and loved how close it was to the stadium.
We stayed there during 4th of July. The room was clean and tidy upon entire. Over all the room was great, there were just a couple of things that were lacking. The TV was almost falling off the wall because it was unscrewed from the mounting brackets and the glass shelf in the bathroom was barely attached to the wall, most things slid off into the sink. The need was comfortable as was the couch. The service was prompt and helpful with questions about the local area. The location was great, we walked to several bars and tap houses that were within 15 minutes of the hotel. Overall, I would stay again.
If you're looking for a place to stay in downtown with character (and you're not bothered by a very small TV being in the room) then this is a great option. It's obvious this is an old building, but the modern furniture mixed in the rooms mixed with antique tiling in the bathroom give the rooms a charming feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring my wine opener, and the front desk clerk went a fished out one from the office that was still in the box and let me use it. Really above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.
Great little boutique type hotel in a great location downtown. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Kind of a chic vibe all-around. We went with another couple and shared a room - highly recommend!
Very cute & antique boutique hotel. Front desk staff made it perfect with their outstanding service. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have all that you need. Not good for families with young children as the rooms are European style (small) and the walls are extremely thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. Another great point though is that it is within walking distance to EVERYTHING.
HORRIBLE! We arrived eight minutes late for our check-in, and they refused to give us our room. We were told "YOUR ROOM IS AVAILABLE, BUT YOU CAN'T HAVE IT. IT'S ALREADY CLEAN FOR WHOEVER CHECKS IN TOMORROW." They also told us that they called us, and we had no missed calls from the hotel. We explained the situation - that we were on our honeymoon, had just driven 14 hours and could not find a parking spot in the pouring rain.
I'm pretty sure they sold our room to someone else, and that is understandable because we were late for our reservation, but the way we were treated by the staff was horrible. He could have just explained that the room had already been given to someone else and they were so sorry but to say "YOUR ROOM IS AVAILABLE, BUT YOU CAN'T HAVE IT. IT'S ALREADY CLEAN FOR WHOEVER CHECKS IN TOMORROW." He was completely unapologetic, rude and even went as far as to say mock me when I said we had a hard time finding a spot in the rain and say "yeah so it's raining for us too."
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. The staff was EXTREMELY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.
Great location. Everything downtown is within walking distance. Rooms are a little quirky but nice. My tv didn't really work with the remote. Fast WiFi. Drinks are available in the mini fridge and there's a coffee maker with coffee, which is nice. I'd probably stay here again.
Very disappointing recent stay. Room very small and noisy. Bed very uncomfortable so I didn't sleep a wink all night. Air conditioner noisy. The elevator did not work the entire time of our stay. We were on the second floor so not so bad but our friends were on the sixth floor and it was a real problem for them. No compensation offer for the poor conditions. Definitely will never stay there again.
Had a bad night there but everything was resolved to our satisfactions. We may stay there in the future.
Stayed on the night of 4/5/2017, Room 604. Rained overnight. Woken up at 4ish in the morning with water coming through the ceiling away from our bed. Went down to request another room, none available. Try to go back to sleep only to have the water start coming down the light fixture Into the bed. Several guests in the same situation. Man on duty not able to make the call on comping the rooms and person to make decision not available until 09:00. We got out of there as soon as the rain let up enough to cross the street to the parking lot.
After some phone tag we were assured on 4/11 the charges would be credited back to our CC. This is a satisfactory resolution for us.
