Very nice place to take you’re family for a walk in the park or taking you’re kids to the playground. There is also a trail that connects two areas of the park that was completed as an Eagle Scout project. We’ve seen people fishing, swimming, boating, and just about everything else. I would recommend packing a lunch and spending the day walking the trails and playing on the playground.
It's a good size park with beautiful views of lake Hartwell. It has well kept day use areas and campgrounds.
I've been camping here twice and have loved it both times. They keep the bathrooms clean! And the campgrounds are nice and well kept!
This down-to-earth campground is for those who enjoy nature but also like electricity and water. The graveled campsites are not cramped and you have room to move about and set up extra gear. While the facilities could use some TLC, the bathrooms are clean. However, I noted there were no tampon receptacles in the stall. I like the water-saver option on the toilets, and unlike many campgrounds you actually have the option to recycle your aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and newspapers. The office is tiny and don't expect to buy those last minute amenities there. Though the lower lake levels are dramatic you can investigate the lake bed with ease. The kiddie play area is small. The ball park is simply a mowed area with a tall chain link fence at one end. The dump station needs updating and the extra large rigs might have trouble navigating close enough to the dump area. Though this park is no frills you can bike, hike, run, fish, kayak, go boating to your heart's content. If you love nature, you'll love this park.
Excellent State park. God clean bath houses. Beautiful views of the lake. Nice fishing pier and boat ramp.
It was nice, there is even a trash dumpster. Bathroom could have been more bugfree. Super easy beach access! We will return!
Fantastic state campground. Very clean. Nice people work here.
I came here for the eclipse which was a great choice as you have a very open view because you're on the edge of the lake. It's very well maintained, cheap and the staff is very friendly! It only misses some bathrooms and garbage cans since these are not widespread.
Clean quiet and beautiful. Beautiful sunset views!
Beautiful and plenty to do but the price for the daily pass is ridiculous. $3 PER PERSON just for a parking pass. It's not bad with just a couple but I got married there and it was too much for us to pay for everyone's parking.
Awesome place. Feels safe. Near great fishing spots!
It is a very beautiful and peaceful place! The bathroom is very clean, and the view is spetacular. Campsites are very clean, and park staff are exceptional.
Loop 1 has gorgeous views of the lake and sunset. Peaceful, with plenty of trails to walk. Large state park.
