I entered this facility in Nov 2006 for 4 days of detox after kicking for 7 days prior. There was some miscommunication & its possible I didn't need detox, but it was a smooth process.
I shared a room with a nice older woman, my vitals were constantly monitored, the detox ward is dated but clean. It was a relief I was not held to a rigorous schedule, was allowed smoke breaks, and staff was very nice and helpful. I was very underweight & Ensure was specially ordered for me.
Sacred Heart provided transportation to the local women's inpatient center I finished my treatment at.
I've been clean since, thank you Sacred Heart.

Best rehab hands down. The whole Ora of this place is magical. I went in to detox and 14 days residential. Detox is not that great because the facility is a little dated it was built back in late 60’s early 70’s but they’ve done the best they can in my opinion. When I moved into residential it blew my mind. The program and spirituality this place provides is so humbling it’s crazy. If you want to get clean and stay clean this place will provide you with every tool you need. You just got to want it. You go in here with a bad attitude your gonna get bad results. You get out what you put in. Overall best place on earth for recovery. Only negative is they are a little enforcing on dress code with no hats or hoods which they only do for security precautions even though it should be about the recovery I still understand still love this place. Highly recommend.

Only one interview with counselor. That was almost 11 years ago. No relapses on my part. As someone Once told me, you have to have the desire. Not that impressed with their Hollister and American clothing line. Kind of gives the wrong impression. After all, they accept Medicaid, people on Medicaid can't afford that style

I love this place. If you REALLY wanna get clean they give you all the tools you need. All while providing a pretty comfortable detox. After being clean almost 3yrs the last time I left sacred heart. I had a relapse. Ran back to sacred heart and they saved my life now for a second time! Looking forward to another 3 or hopefully 33 years of sobriety!

My experience was terrible. I took a friend there to drop her off and they said she was an hour late so they would not take her until the next day, and we had driven 2 hours to get there. They could not have cared less.In fact they appeared to take pleasure in turning us away. No one told us you had to be there at a specific time. So she went back the following day, and after 12 hours they refused to give her medication for detoxing, she was very angry, so they kicked her out. They just don't care, they know they're getting funds from the state, there will be another person along in a minute. I would not recommend this place.

I love everyone at Sacred Heart. The RCTs are mostly all in recovery and from the time you walk in you feel a sense of understanding and compassion. The therapists are mostly all in recovery as well and you don't feel judged. Everyone just "gets it". And they focus on getting you where you need to be to move forward into recovery and know that you are not alone.
Also I love the chapel; it's been said that it's the Holiest place in Michigan and miracles happen there. I believe that whole heartedly❤️
