Food and service were great. The hostess was very helpful. Half my party were late and she was able to hold my reservation, even though it was extremely busy. Food was amazing and the music was on point.
It wasn't even busy at all when I got here with my party, We were seated fast, drinks took around 25 minutes to come waiters did not check up on us we had to call them over it's like they weren't even around, food took long I ordered a medium well skirt stake it was too dry for a medium well with a weird taste to it I did not enjoy at all to finish , fries had no taste, Lobster Mac and cheese flavor had a weird acid like taste 2 stars for the deserts which were good and the nice setting. Not worth the pricing or hype.
Attended a holiday party here. Basement venue space was very well done. Staff and service was amazing. Food and appetizers were delicious. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend this place for events and even for a simple dine in/ drinks.
Had a reservation at 10pm. Didn’t get seated till 11:30! When we were seated the private room did not even have enough chairs for all the guests in the party! Then we had to wait till 12:15 for a larger room. We were not even given bread or water and we had reservations at 10p. Our dinner came out at 1am and it was COLD! They forget multiple peoples sides and the waiter was so rude the whole night. Terrible experience.
The place:
it was really beautiful and the lighting and the views were really good, the designs and the bar too. It was romantic, chill, good music and semi-professional (by semi-professional I mean that if I go with my friends I would feel good if we want to hangout, if I go to a professional meeting it would also be a good choice, good place, mood and music overall). The only thing to improve would be that the windows were dirty, they should clean them because in our pictures our friends wanted to know about the place and it looks bad for u guys.
The food:
Was perfect, it tasted really well and they had a nice drinks list, wines also and very diverse sides and appetizers. The smashed potatoes was excellent. Again, everything about the food and the drinks were perfect. The dessert was really good too.
The service: was really good, the security at the front, the host and the bartender. Kimberly was the name of the waitress, she recommended some really good dishes and the dessert that she recommended was exactly what we were looking for, she was really patient since it was our first time and the water was always filled up. The only thing that I would complain is that they took kinda long to bring the dessert, but it’s fine.
The only negative thing would be the price, I feel like it was kinda overpriced but it was totally worth it, it’s the regular Manhattan price.
Definitely we would come again. Thanks for the service guys.
Very expensive but good food. Appetizers are BIG and sized for 2. So no need to order one each except for sampling. At night, music is played and gets really fun in here. Nice atmosphere
Good steak as well as service by our waiter but we waited far too long for a table when the place was pretty empty. They definitely need to step their game up in that department.
Would recommend their steaks as well as the little wagyu sliders as a starter. I had the broccoli as a side and it was pretty good. Had a nice soy sauce marinade on it to make it not as boring as it usually is.
Server was amazing, very knowledgeable. The food was great, EXCEPT for the beginning of meal.
Drinks took longer than should have. Table bread came out after appetizers. Octopus was chewy and the quail egg on the steak tartar was hard boiled, ofcourse should have been cooked easy.
Rest of the meal was spot on. But for the name STK and the price point, EVERYTHING should have been flawless. What a shame.
My friend and I dined there at approximately 8:00 pm on a Sunday night. It was located in the refurbished meat packing district which I found delightful. The Mater Dei sat us promptly and what caught my eye first was that the restaurant was only 30% full. My friend said, don't worry everyone in NYC dines late. Sure enough, by 9:00pm it was at 90% capacity. The waiter quickly took our drinks which were grey goose up with a twist promptly. They were delightful. I had a bone in rib eye medium rare perfectly prepared. For the sides we split a mac n cheese. The bread though not San Francisco sourdough that I am accustomed was delicious. We also split a wedge salad which was the best I have ever had. We also had a veggie dish that I do not recall. We were too full for dessert. Overall the ambiance was a 10+ and the dining was 9+.
Great vibe if your looking to eat, drink and listen to some music! Food is great too! And the grits will see me again soon .. lol I promise!
This place looks like a warehouse they were turning into a restaurant but their budget ran out . The floors arnt leveled. They also have cracks. The music is really loud ( maybe not a bad thing) a party scene yes but not a very good party.
Now about the food. It's nothing special. Literally nothing different from outback besides the prices and quality of the meat.
The sides are basic. Our mash potatoes tasted like regular mash potatoes with butter in it. The mac and cheese isn't any better then KFC's They have some high quality produce I will say that but now a days so does every restaurant in Miami.
The drinks came out alright .
The staff , if very friendly nice. They take good care of you can't complain.
All they really have is the name and personally if your gonna spend the same money, you might as well go to the one on the beach much nicer and will be a better experience overall.
I've been coming to STK downtown since they had first opened their doors in the Meatpacking District in New York City !
I've been to all STK locations around the United States and still STK downtown has been one of my favorite location of the One Group! My second favorite location is STK Miami.
This evening my entire opinion of STK has completely changed. I had ignored all the telling signs throughout the years because I was a big fan of their food . Regardless , they were never known for their service. They were known for their trendy atmosphere and fantastic food . That trendy atmosphere that once graced STK downtown has become stale. Their food can't carry for their waitstaff short comings !
Every year on the day I was born , which is typically called your birthday. For the past 5 years, I would celebrate my birthday at STK . I would have a wonderful dinner with my party followed by real conversation that will end with a candle & dessert! No singing !!! That is just too embarrassing !
Every year, my party would make a reservations at STK. They will always instruct the reservationist that they would like a candle with desserts because they are celebrating a birthday and to keep it quietly since it's a surprise .
Every year, STK would provide a candle in my dessert! That candle had symbolized the day I was born, my birthday! Candle marked the day for me !
Last year , my mother had pass away . Thus , I mourned for the entire year which I did not celebrate my birthday nor any holiday . It's already hard enough missing the one person you would like to be there , but can't be their physically only in spirit.
My party and I waited for the desserts to be brought out! We waited about 22 minutes for STK waiter to bring out my dessert. Once they did , we realized something was missing !!! There was no candle on the desert to mark my birthday!!'
I was terribly upset and very disappointed that I personally brought it to the managers attention! It was just another ordinary dinner!!! How is this different than any other dinner ? This is my birthday dinner! It need to be different, we need to mark the occasion !! We were than told by the manager , he will be right back !
A woman then approached the table & stated to us that unfortunately they do not take reservations in house so they do not know who we spoke to at STK reservations off site. Than they took off my $12 dessert! Her attitude was very nonchalant , like oh well .
Listen I'm not looking for a free meal people ! I'm the CEO for a major global beauty brand. Every year I share my birthday with my family, friends at STK . STK & The One Group robbed me of my birthday celebrations this year 2017 ! They couldn't even acknowledge their responsibility for screwing things up. Than they had the audacity to push it back on us.. How stupid you think my party is ? We do this every single year! My party knows how important my birthday is especially not being able to celebrate it last year!
Listen I understand things happen in life! I get it, but I'm a paying customer requesting a service , and yet I did not receive said services!
I feel robbed! Instead of enjoying my birthday evening I am forced to write reviews on a business that did not acknowledge or take any accountability on their mistake .
A simply I'm sorry would of been suffice , but instead they tried to pass fault to a third party that is employed by STK and the One Group.
Also , what happen to coat check in this establishment ? Where do you expect me to put my Dsquared fur coat ? It weights a ton , its white plus an inconvenience for me
An extremely well decorated and chic establishment.
Food is steakhouse classics that are done well but a tad overpriced.
The restaurant has the music turned up so it is a great place to get your evening started.
A good spot to go before partying but not the best romantic or quiet conversation restauraunt
The ambiance here is super fun. The lighting is magical and the DJ plays great tunes. Food was super tasty, especially the corn pudding and the kale salad! The service was spot on and we were treated so well for my friend's bday. I definitely want to come back in the summer and try out the rooftop!
