Amazing tea shop. They let you try two of any teas in the entire store for free before buying. They have an absolutely amazing selection of hundreds of teas from around the world and most of it is reasonably priced despite the very high quality. Highly recommend. One issue was that one of the young woman tea makers was not very helpful when I was standing by the main bar to try a tea. I had to wait a few minutes until a nicer woman came by to assist me in trying a tea. Customer service skills for one or two of the employees could be dramatically improved. Regardless, it doesn't detract from the great tea.
Usually staff is good, however on this particular Sunday the staff was incredibly rude, inattentive, and exceptionally loud.
After they attempted to “charge” my card four times. (I called the bank and the bank said there wasn’t even an attempt to use the card, meaning the transaction was being canceled from the other end before the charge processed) the staff member attempted to dismiss me and I paid in cash.
After the staff watched me struggle with my biscuit (injured hand) I left after finishing swearing never to return to the cafe portion again.
The vibe was rude and not very welcoming.
Food was good like always along with my tea.
If you love teago here. Fantastic selection and blends. Well trained staff.
I love visiting this tea shop. It always smells amazing, and they have super cute tea accessories. The staff can be very knowledgeable about teas, and it's always fun to stop in and try the daily teas.
If you love tea check it out. Try the free samples and take a deep breath you'll be able to find whatever rocks your boat - beautiful store as well.
Love the education. The servers knew everything and were so helpful i loved the mutual love of tea!!! Wow just quality.
You can sample teas, buy loose tea, or order some to enjoy hot or iced at a table inside. There are dozens of options, so there should be something for everyone with an appreciation for teas.
Great place to stop on the way to Chinatown or if you want to do high noon tea. Don't overdo the treats or you'll spoil your meal for other great places to eat in NYC. Hot and cold teaslots of selection. Order by the glass, pot, or carafe. Try the teas before buying the box or can.
Since I visited Harney & Sons two years ago with my sister, I have become a big fan of this place and their tea. It is a good place to get some tasty teas for us, and also gifts for others.
The interior remains unchanged since 2015, still really nice, open space. It has so many selections of great varieties of teas, it is fun to look around the store.
The great thing about this place is that they have a small lounge space where you can enjoy their teas and also some sweets as well. We decided to have some tea and sweets before we shop.
We order their Small Pot of Tea which is indicated as “2 servings” but it has a bit more than 2 servings in my opinion. They have a great selection of teas of all kinds. We also ordered their Summer Special item, Cherry Scones. They were really nice and tasty, perfect little afternoon tea time.
Once we were finished with little R&R, we looked around the shop. They do have so many cute items there! They have all sorts of items that are of course related to tea, and some other items that are not really related to tea. Regardless, they are all interesting and adorable.
We bough several tins of teas on this day for gifts. Everyone loves getting these teas… It is good to spread the joy of yummy tea! Read my full review of this store and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.
I'm a coffee gal, Not really a tea person but this place will convert you 😜 unbelievable variety!! Fresh loose tea and best of all you get to try it before purchasing. Great staff and a quaint tea room in the back. Highly recommend for anyone, tea lover or not.
Perfect place for tea lovers, you get free tea tastings when shopping for teas.
Cute tea shop, nicer during the day than after sunset. For some reason the lighting at night makes the place feel really cold. Maybe it's all the open space. They have an extensive list of tea options and quite a few cakes to pair with your tea. Good place to stop for a quick drink while shopping around Soho. They also have gluten free pastries!
Free wifi, so good place to do work if you can get a seat in their small tearoom in the back. The service is average, not super friendly unfortunately.
My old stomping grounds. It's great to see the store doing well. The tea selection is among the best in North America, and the cafe itself is a charming oasis in SoHo
Amazing and comprehensive tea selection. They offer free tea tastings and there is also a cute cafe space at the back of the shop. I tried the matcha peach tea and had the scone with cream and jam which was delightful!
This is the perfect spot for tea lovers: they have the most comprehensive tea menu I have ever seen. There is a small seating area at the back and a counter in case you are on the go. Around the spacious and pleasant counter area you will also find tea-related products: an extensive variety of teas, cookies, gorgeous dishes (cups, teapots, trays, mugs), tools to make tea and cute little trinkets.
Lovely place!!! Extensive list of delicious teas. The scones and their pairings (apricot with apricot jam or cheddar chive with mustard butter) are scrumptious! Loved the red velvet cake as well which is gluten free and I think vegan as well. Great and expeditious service too.
