Who doesn't love dogs? The staff here does a top notch job caring for the poor pooches here and engaging the community to give the dogs some regular activity!

This facility is 100% non profit and runs entirely on donations. They also do not turn any animal away, unlike other shelters who pick and choose what they want to take in. They deal with some really hard luck cases on little funding and work around the clock. Several of the staff work six days a week and they're always in desperate need of fosters for their animals. They work tirelessly to help as many animals as possible. We've adopted from this place several times and will continue to advocate for them. If you stop in there, make sure you thank them for what they do.

I have adopted several dogs from the SPCA. I have had great experiences with my dogs and still have them. They have became part of our family and our best friends. Their adoption fees are fair and reasonable. They are the cheapest in the area If you're looking to adopt within a budget. I don't think a $40 fee is bad considering they are vaccinated and spayed or neutered. If anything should happen to my dogs, I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from them again.

Friendly workers and volunteers. Clean and well-kept facility. Lots of sweet cats and kittens and dogs depending on the season. Anybody interested can go in and pet the cats and dogs. There are two rooms with uncaged cats where you can play with the kitties.

I went there today to spend some time with a dog that has been there a long time and I was very pleased with the staff there, they really care about the dogs and their well being. I loved how educated they were about each of the dogs there and how upfront they were about the dogs and their needs. The foster coordinator is awesome and she does a great job there. Everyone wants to bad mouth shelters but if people would stop breeding and dumping off dogs they wouldn't be so over crowded and the staff wouldn't be so overwhelmed. For anyone that has anything bad to say about this place, walk in the employees and volunteers shoes for a few days. It takes special people to work at a shelter and this place has a lot of them there. Good job guys and for anyone that wants to complain they took a dog home and it has "issues" well what do you expect they didn't choose to live at a shelter and the staff does the best they can, get your pet some training instead of returning it.

The dogs here are great, and the knowledge behind the pets is a lot better than most places. You wouldn't expect them to know everything about stray dogs, or dogs that come in from other people, but their info is great.
The reason I'm giving one stars, is because Sherry, or Shelly, I'm not sure on the name, is absolutely rude on the phone. I apologized when I called for my petty complaint, but I adopted two dogs and only received one goody bag for my dogs. I didn't think that was fair and I told her I prob wouldn't be stopping by for it, but that I did want to let them know I was a bit disappointed. She got upset because of my complaint, and when I said well thank you for listening anyway (I had another question) she says "okay"-- AND HANGS UP! So I call back and she answers and I tell her she hung up on me without saying bye or anything, and she starts arguing with me saying "no I didn't, no I didn't, no I didn't, I know what I said nu-uh nu-uh, no I didn't" like the rude child she is. So I said ma'am, it's fine, can I please talk to your manager. And she says, "she's not here right now so what did you want to say?" Excuse me? If I hadn't had a great experience there I would've drove down there just to curse her out. So I said I'll call back another time, nevermind my question, AND SHE HANGS UP AGAIN. Absolutely awful. Completely changed my view on that place. I love my dogs, but she needs to be caged up and taught some manner herself. No one's gonna take her home acting like that.

Not only that but it cost a good amount of money to help this poor cat get back to good health made me angryI love the cat and she will stay with my family forever

Went in with boyfriend and were looking at animals when we were approached by a employee who then asked us what we were looking for, we explained we were looking at dogs for our new apartment, the woman proceeded to ask our ages, him 20 and me 17. She then rudely shook her head. And we obviously were confused.. and she literally just said "you're not allowed in here and made us leave" ironically 3 months ago we went there without a problem and they even let us meet with two different dogs by ourselves.

Great organization, very nice staff too boot. Had issues with other adoption agencies giving us the run around, came in and got a great dog. She wasn't to keen on us at first especially me being a male, but now she is super loving and never leaves my side. I thank them so much for helping us find such a great dog.
