We had heard great things about RTI services from friends and our community and so we decided to get a quote from them and it came in around where we expected.

We had RTI Services replace an old deck and actually extend it so we now have a wrap around deck. It was a huge project about 900 sq ft of deck. We have huge windows by where they put the deck so I was able to easily see all the work they put into our deck. They were meticulous and methodical. Their work was outstanding. Their crew is hard working, on time and gets the job done. And they are very responsive and have amazing customer service.

They also put extra work into reinforcing a part of the deck we want to put a hot tub on. But the most impressive part is building out this huge long stair case into an awkward hill that we have. It’s perfect and now we have access to our yard from any part of the deck and we don’t have to navigate this steep kind of dangerous part of our backyard anymore because now it’s stairs. We also had an existing roof structure that they were able to extend because we made that area of our deck bigger.

I am so impressed with this company and I will recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a deck.

I will post pictures but just know we had our deck built in the dead of winter during the cold and rain so there are some areas of mud from the work they did but barely considering how many people were out there working and the time of year it was.

RTI Services waterproofed our very large deck at an affordable price. They have years of experience, are local, and the company is run by an honest, prompt, and knowledgeable owner and the staff clearly know their trade. They are also kind, respectful, and considerate. I appreciated that they consulted with me whenever there were changes or extra charges for unexpected repairs that they discovered during the remodel. Also, they installed a killer cable-railing that looks amazing. If you are looking for someone who has been in the business his whole life and runs a tight ship, I recommend RTI.

Replacing a large deck is not a fun project especially when your deck is wobbly, rotting, slippery and you wonder if you should let people walk on it. It also is not fun because you know it will be expensive. Really expensive. Then you have to find a contractor-- and here are some of my favorite experiences during the estimate phase: one contractor said he was quoting to rip out the ugly deck first and start from scratch; another asked if he could sketch my deck and spent over an hour drawing it in great detail before telling me that he did not want the job but would quote it if I wanted; another said it would be complete in two days (which included painting time); and one of my favorites was the one who handed me a loan application to review as he looked at the deck. When TJ from RTI Services showed up things changed. First of all, TJ was new or nervous or anxious and his iPad (( think it was an iPad) was not working so he could not show me examples. Either I had to use my computer or he brought in a laptop-- either way, the experience gave me a deeper look. His price was fair, competitive and he was accommodating. I went When I asked about a potential alteration to the deck, he went home and drew it up in CAD and sent me what he thought.

I was convinced that he and his company would do the work.

The work took 3 + weeks. Monday thru Friday from 7:00AM - 4:00PM most days, Two to four workers were on site on time. They kept everything clean, organized and accommodated for our dog. Their work was impeccable, their dedication to quality high and wanted to hear if anything was bugging me. My wobbly, rotting, slippery deck did need some maintenance which was included in his estimate. He had not other charges outside of what he had in the bid; I had a few changes which resulted in additional costs and when one of the changes reduced his work, he automatically reduced his estimate-- it did not occur to me to ask or expect that to happen.

I would highly recommend RTI Services for their customer loyalty, their craftsmanship, their work ethic and their outstanding character. They are experts in their industry and they understand the concerns of their customer base. In the end, I got what I needed and wanted: a deck that was safe, strong and beautiful.

We want to thank RTI Services for an excellent job with our backyard remodel project. The owner, T.J. worked with us to translate our needs, desires and ideas into 3D computer drawings that allowed us to visualize what it could look like.
We wanted a two level deck with post and stair lighting, built-in benches and planters, plus increased bracing to add a hot tub and gazebo. TJ made multiple visits to go over design revisions and brought product samples. All this helped us make our decision to select RTI.
Ultimately the quality of a product is only as good as the team doing the work. The RTI crew is an exceptional team who take pride in their work. We actually called them deck “artists.” They arrived early each day. They checked with us for approval for each phase of the project and completed our complicated deck in just ten working days.
New composite decks are not inexpensive, and we knew this going into the project. RTI’s cost estimate was competitive with others. We definitely made the right choice and would absolutely recommend RTI Services to others who are thinking about a new deck.

We are so happy with how our 3 decks turned out. RTI services hit it out of the park. Their pricing is very competitive, and quality of work is exemplary. They were here on the job at the same time every single day, and worked tirelessly until the job was done. They were great at communicating and they were all really great to work with. We absolutely recommend that you spend your money with RTI Services!!!
