Since they changed management, it lost its flair. They are more Spanish than American. If you like Spanish food. It would work for you.

Food was good atmosphere was great but the service. One, me and my "BOYS" came through and it just felt like all the staff stopped working and just started staring. However I knew exactly what I wanted and ordered my food. My boys took forever and finally ordered theirs as well. After they ordered the waiter asked me what I wanted and I said I told you I wanted (blah, blah, blah) already. I don't know why, but I am use to always getting my orders messed up. I am not use to waiters arguing with you about it. So based off the fact I am always the one to go through this I swallowed my saliva and just repeated myself. After I did all this my boy confirmed what I already knew which is that I did indeed order already and this is why I would never go back and they get this review accompanied by two stars.

We Got there at 5:55 and were seated Immediately, there was no one there. As soon as we walked in the manager was on his personal phone and didn't pay us any mind. We sat and a waiter did not come, at 6:30 we had to ask for a waiter and the manager told a bus boy to wait us. Our order was put into the system at 6:36, we had no bread, it was extra $3.95 and I didn't understand why. It was 7:10 when we had to complain that our food was still not ready but the people behind us who came after us had got their food. The bus boy apologized and came out with our food shortly after. The 2 burgers were cold and the chicken wrap was nasty. Overall it was a bad experience but the bus boy (Steven) was nice.

This is not your ordinary diner. They have a paper menu inside the traditional diner menu with food that is freshly home made. Chile, brisket and collard greens, oxtails peas and rice, eggplant parmesan and spaghetti, crab legs, curried chicken. I had the brisket, the serving was so large I had to request another plate so I could portion of out and take home the rest. Now shout out to Monica who made us feel like we were visiting her home, she explained the menu and gave reccomemdations, because I am so funny when ordering from a diner. So go ahead and order from that paper and see if you won't be delighted. If you take your kid or don't have a big appetite be prepared to take some home!

This was our go-to place for years, we knew we were in trouble when the menu shrunk about a year ago when it was sold. I'm a chicken person, the old menu had maybe a dozen dishes, the new one only two (still does). The next bad sign was a practically empty bread basket, one roll and 2 small pieces of cornbread for two people. We came a few more times until we had a bad experience waiting for a table with plenty available, we wound up walking out. Flash forward 6 months we decided to try it again today, the same 3-piece bread basket made an appearance (not a good sign), something on the menu had changed but not for the better. The complimentary dinner salad now costs $3 while the dinner prices remain the same. Rationing bread, charging extra for a dinner salad, seems the handwriting is on the wall, they're headed for nowheresville. What makes no sense is they had a good clientele (the place was usually full) for many years (they bought the place, I'm sure they did their due diligence), now the parking lot is empty except for Sunday breakfast, isn't it obvious that reducing the menu by around 75% is the cause of the lost business? And if so why don't they bring back the old menu (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) to try and win back the loyal customers who they've lost? Makes no sense to me, does it to you "new" owners? We'll be back when it's sold and the menu grows again in not so long a time, hopefully soon.

It was just me, yet I felt comfortable. I ordered a Cobb salad w/added chicken (it was extra but worth it). The service from the young lady was on point. She didn't hover over me. I was satisfied with food & service. *don't mean sound like a commercial. but it is what it is* thumbs up Royal Coach Diner!

Food was excellent.service was great! Menu was a mixture of American, Latin and Caribbean. Kudos to Pedro the manager for taking the time to pass by each table to say hello. Drinks were amazing. Portion sizes were really huge. Try the crabs!!!! It was one of the best I ever had!!!

I've been here many times and the service was good staff was friendly and polite, food was great up until today, the birthday waitress was so occupied with other's she forgot my table after she told us she'd be right back, when I finally got her attention she had an attitude, we ordered food came and she rushes our food on the table I'm talking to her about my order and she's walking away, she dealt with the 2 white older men so friendly and got their order right after they came after us. We also ordered food to go she rang out our check charged me for what I ordered but did not give us our correct order I only realized when we got home my fault should have check the bag when she brought it out. I don't think my family and friends will be returning for a while, the previous staff that was there before theses new owners was great servers friendly and welcoming.

Extremely unprofessional service. This place has gone downhill fast in the last few months. We went for dinner, and when the check came, the waitress told my husband to make sure that he tipped her, and actually stood there watching over his shoulder to make sure he tipped the highest amount! We would have tipped anyway, as we always do, but I have never seen something so tacky and unprofessional! It was shocking. Mind you, this was the only time she paid any attention to us whatsoever. Not once before then did she come over during our meal to ask if we needed anything or to refill our beverages. I was actually embarrassed *for* her due to behavior. This was also after she and another waiter had almost gotten into an argument over who was going to serve our table when we first arrived. And to top it off, the food was mediocre at best, for outrageous prices. I used to enjoy coming to this local restaurant with my family, but the overall atmosphere has changed considerably in the last few months. Very disappointing. I will not be returning.

I ordered to go once and they didn't bother adding any seasoning to anything I ordered. Once I visited, I noticed the food had some potential but barely. Prices don't make sense, today I asked them to sub something for something equal, they said they couldn't and they charged me $3 more than the $1 it would've cost me to create my own omelette. Grits were watery and under cooked and 1/2 the size I was given last week. They were brought back to the kitchen and shortly after an employee who doesn't know how to act at a job with a daddy tattoo at the lower back came out the kitchen and said out loud "wow the Grits taste good today" very sarcastically. When I looked at her and we locked eyes she stared back with a snappy face. Unfortunately, she did cause the waitress to get less of a tip then I would've left. Being a restaurant manager myself, I was embarrassed for the business because they had her representing them like any other employee. I can get over the food and have a milkshake but the service is keeping the business out the door. It's a shame because my acquaintances and I are only 1 block away when we are in the area and we won't be going back.

Been coming here honestly since 10 years old, had all my graduations here. There's new management in place, I notice ever since the corn beef hash I ordered had a new flavor. I didn't like it at all at first so I complaint got to meet the manager and honestly he's awesome. I can see the business strategy he's delivering to this place. He promise to fix the corn beef hash and he did it's great now homemade too. The menu has changed drastically with less items, smaller portions and higher prices but the food and service is still great nonetheless. I love royal coach and the atmosphere it delivers. I would still recommend it and trust in the new management. PS. Coffee should be way better especially for this establishment not really good quality like water downed (1 star for coffee)
