The stadium is spectacular. Seeing Metallica and AX7 was one of the best concerts ever. The only issue here is parking. We left earlier at the last show, so it wasn't that much of an issue. If you wait and leave when the show is completely over, you can plan on an hour plus wait to get out of the lot.
Love this place. Also work at the Rose🌹Bowl seasonally. Big and great place to attend concerts, 🏈 football games, golfing, or just exercising.
My 2nd visit here, husband’s 1st.
We drove from San Diego to check it out. We both were pleasantly surprised.
Much better than any Swap Meet here.
So many vendors, so much to see. Lots of bargains.
Not enough time to see everything.
Horribly organized entry. Noone on the staff knew where different gates were. I was told to go 4 different directions before I found the entrance I needed. They block you off so you have to walk around the parking lot and golf course. RUDE staff as well. My bag was stolen because they wouldn't let me bring it inside. Also, bad sound quality. Never going to a concert there ever again.
I love the Rose Bowl. Great sight lines, seats are ok considering the age (not much leg room), and the best tailgating in the country!
Why a 4 star. Prices have gone nuts. $30 to park, concessions off the chart--$7 for water--whaaaat), makes movie prices look dirt cheap. And the entry process is just horrible. The new setup with clear bags is very frustrating. 3 games, 3 different responses to my water bottles. Need to figure this out.
Went to see Green Day! Fantastic concert, great venue. Got there early to park and after the concert we were out and on the freeway in less than 10 min. Friendly staff, clean facilities. Please follow the bag rules, some people were upset because their bags/purses were too big and had to pay $10 to rent a locker. Everything is on their website, read the info and follow the rules. Will go again.
Clean, feels safe. Lots of options for food, adequate restroom facilities. Good sightlines, audio. Good traffic and crowd control (likely more of an issue with a full house). Friendly staff. Great, iconic stadium!
I attended the U2 Concert May 21, 2017 and because I had been to the Rose Bowl in October of 2009 for the U2 360 Tour I knew pretty much what to expect. We were directed well by parking attendants who guided us to an area most close to our entry gate for the concert. I knew getting out would take at least 2 hours so we planned ahead with an SUV, blankets, pillows, snacks and just waited it out. Staff was helpful and the people were friendly and our visit to the Rose Bowl went very well. Just expect a delay in entering, exiting, and parking at this venue when attending a large or sold out event. Plan ahead for comfort and snacks if you've got kids (or in my case myself and three teenagers) and expect to walk quite a bit so wear comfortable shoes.
Has been improved from it dated condition and is a premier outdoor bowl to view sports and concerts. Parking is an issue, because no matter what entry way you try, it's slow getting in and it backs up to the streets, where there is No parking. Once situated, tailgating, relaxing whatever, you are safe and sound in this small valley that's it's built in. I love the place the surroundings and wouldn't miss any event there. Concessions are as everywhere, pricy.
Full Disclosure- I gave it 5 stars without actually having been there. It's June, nowhere near football season, and I'm thinking about how much I'd like to visit this place. That for me is worth 5 stars. Reading some of the other reviews has made me want to visit even more.
U2 concert was great, Rose bowl management planned everything great. Almost no wait to get in and plenty of security, facilities, food and pre-concert entertainment.
Communication was clear and well covered prior to event.
I only give it 4 stars because exiting was chaos, they needed more staff directing cars how to exit the parking.
Other than that it was a great day, safe and fun.
U2 put on an incredible concert and lights projection and sound were great but this venue is nothing but money and aggravation. Took TWO hours to get out. No logic to exit strategy. Whole interior vibe by vendors leaves much to be desired. Warning: they make you check your bag and charge $10.
