I really enjoy the shows here! The facility offers great seating options, nice options for the food and beverages inside and it's in a great location. The selection of acts that come perform here are great as well.

Saw A CHRISTMAS CAROL again!! A wonderful holiday experience!! Every year they pop a current event skit in for kicks! I hope the new Greensboro PAC will be just as great. 42 years is an unbelievable streak! KUDOS TO IDW 3&4!!

The family and I visited DPAC to see Carolina Ballet Presents The Nutcracker. I was pleasantly surprised at the venue's organization and cleanliness; and the attendants are absolutely outstanding. I had read somewhere about a woman who visited and she mentioned the attendants made her feel like she was visiting friends or family -- they really are that friendly and helpful! And I do believe it was the first time in my 42 years I actually saw men (who weren't on stage) wearing top-hats.

The venue itself is pretty impressive with it's high-rising, crystal clear glass walls welcoming you in, and the red carpeting, and comfortable plush seats. Also, the main floor declines enough that, even though we sat 3 rows from the very back, we still saw the entire stage. I don't believe there was an empty seat in the room, and people were sitting directly in front of us, but we did not have to crane our necks or sit giraffe-like to see. :) My husband's first reaction upon entering was, "Well, there's not a bad seat in the house, is there?" (I don't think there is!)

Okay, okay, you want to know about the restrooms. Again, I was super impressed. Interim is usually only 15 to 20 minutes and how do you accommodate 2700 people in 15 to 20 minutes? Well the venue has twice the mandated facilities - and yes, I waited about 10 minutes before even heading out there, but when I did, there was no line, no wait, and about 12 empty stalls available when I entered the ladies' room. (And it was clean and tidy, too.)

I'm sorry I can't divulge much on the parking. We parked a block or so away (across from Mellow Mushroom) and walked from there, stopping to eat at Tyler's on the way through. The walk was nice and beautiful (even as cold as it was). There was plenty to see.

The whole night was a beautiful experience. If you haven't gone, you must! There's such a wide array of events offered, I'm sure you can find something you'd enjoy. ;)

The venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas! It was easy for us to find out seats & we never waited for long (1-2 ppl) for the restrooms! Parking was a little far but it was still easy to get to the venue. Parking decks were all around! Handicap access was available & easily accessible.

Fabulous performance venue! Great variety of shows. We attend multiple concerts each year. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Not a bad seat in the hall. Parking is close and easily accessible. Plenty restaurants close by. Hotel and restaurant next door to make a weekend of a show. Only down side is the area was not designed for the vehicle traffic volume entering and leaving shows, and I dont know that there is a good solution without a major area overhaul. We just go early and then wait for traffic to clear at the end.

This is a great venue - comfortable seats, good sound/acoustics, easy parking at nearby decks if you don't have a VIP permit. All really good!

Loved it. We went for the circus. IT WAS AMAZING. But specifically on the place the staff was amazing everything was clean. It's a very nice trip.

Great experience. Sound quality was great (unusual compared to most places) and I could see the action on the stage without looking through peoples heads. Will return in the future. Highly recommended.

The staff are all friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. Love all the shows that have come through in the past 10 years - keep them coming. I am excited for the upcoming seasons - especially Les Miz and Phantom - maybe soon Cats? As I said - LOVE the location, staff and the shows!

The DPAC is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful; they offer drinks and food before the show and at intermission. The outside surrounding area is very nice as well. I was very comfortable walking to my car after the evening show I watched with a friend. I can't wait to go back.

Great venue, but mostly crowd-pleasing musicals. I wish they would bring more non-musical shows. The shows I have seen like Neil Dr Grasse Tyson have been wonderful. The facility is clean, modern and comfortable.

LOVE COMING HERE! They are fairly efficient with parking and checking in people with tickets, and I've enjoyed all the performances that I've attended here. It can be a bit hectic afterward as people are streaming out, but again the staff do an efficient job of properly directing you to alternate exits. Finally, DPAC is located in downtown Durham where many great restaurants/bars and hangout spots reside. After enjoying a performance, you can easily hangout downtown. I always look forward to attending events here!

Went to this venue and was able to get seats on the 3rd floor. Bad idea to pay that much. The acoustics are terrible and I am not bragging but have been to other venues in the US as well as abroad like Sydney or Lima, we left after the intermission because we found that the play was not funny and was politically charged but the worse part was not being able to hear well the dialog. Maybe it was funny but the laughter from the people below us would muffle the next sentence and had to guess what came before the next punchline. Willing to give this place a second chance because maybe someone forgot to turn on the speakers up there. One thing for sure will have to pay premium to be closer to the stage. Whoever is in charge never had to seat up there DURING a performance with dozens of people around. The laughter came mostly from below so it wasn't us only and that alone makes me think it wasn't us but a poorly design venue. The place needs an upgraded sound system with all the extra money they get. No a bad seats in the house? previous posters don't have an idea how bad it can get up there, no wonder why only half or less of the seats were occupied while everything else was at capacity, don't waste your money, go to a movie and save some for the next orchestra level for a better experience. Durham is not the most visitor friendly city to drive and find a place to park but that is a different post.

This is a premier facility for the performing arts. It's intimate enough so that there isn't really a bad seat in the house, the seats are comfortable and the acoustics are great. Concessions are adequate with several kiosks so there is never a long wait. The staff are numerous and very customer friendly, they work hard to make patrons happy. It's the "outside the theater" experience that stops me giving 5stars: downtown Durham is a bit tricky to navigate and parking is a little difficult (best bet is to use the parking garage at a cost of $5). But don't even think you'll find a table at any nearly restaurant-- I tried and failed 3 times before deciding it's best to eat before you come.
