We stayed overnight for our anniversary. Doug and Hannah were wonderful hosts! The house was built in the 1800s, but it's in fantastic shape and very charming and comfortable. The scenery there is also quite a sight. We even saw some deer running through the backyard eating grapes off the vines. In the morning, we were treated to a nice breakfast and had a chance to chat it up with the owners and the other guests who stayed overnight. Everyone was very friendly. If you're looking for a great place to stay out in wine country, you can't do much better than the Rockford Inn.
Had a great time staying here during the wine festival. They were very accommodating when we let them know we would be arriving early and put us in touch with a couple taxi options. And Breakfast was fantastic!
This is definitely one of the nicest B&B's we have visited. The Inn is beautiful and has a very comfortable feel to it. The grounds are extremely well kept and nice to walk around. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Hannah and Doug are great hosts and really make you feel welcome.
Such a lovely place. Breakfast was delicious and the inn keepers are truly great. We would definitely visit again .
Greatly enjoyed our weekend in NC wine country. Hannah and Doug were fabulous hosts, and breakfast was delicious. I was very surprised to see tulips and chocolates in our room for my birthday! Highly recommend.
My wife and I had the pleasure of spending the night at the inn. The hospitality from the inn keepers Doug and Hannah and the charm of the home was just a great time. The room was clean and it had its own personality. Breakfast was a true delight and we so enjoyed spending time on the porch overlooking the grounds. We are so looking forward to spending more time at the Inn and enjoying all that the inn has to offer,
Nice quiet and secluded
My wife and I spent the weekend in the beautiful Yadkin Valley to celebrate her birthday with two of our good friends from Charlotte, NC. I can't say enough great things about The Rockford Inn! The house is immaculate and the updates are modern but so tasteful in keeping with the feel and aesthetic of a quaint 19th Century farm house. From the beginning Doug and Hannah, the owners and hosts, went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The rooms were so clean and tidy, beds comfortable, and the setting was pristinewith the back porch overlooking the valley and grape vines planted on the back of the property. Hannah made spot on suggestions of which vineyards to tour and her culinary recommendations were great as wellwe had great food at the local restaurants associated with several of the wineries.
The country breakfast she and Doug made us was delicious! Hannah made it a point to ask us if we had any special dining considerations, which we didn'tbut I thought that was so thoughtful. What great cooks!
We ate and drank so well, and our sides are still sore on Monday from all the laughter of the weekend. What a marvelous way to celebrate a birthday with friends and recharge our batteries from the rat race
I highly recommend this B&B! One of the best weekend getaways I can remember
Matt & Carrie - Charlotte, NC
A gem of a get-a-way tucked in the rolling hills of North Carolina. Excellent hospitality. Excellent meals. This is the place to stay when touring the vineyards in the area or if you just want an intimate evening with a loved one. Highly recommend!
