If I had to choose between engaging in conversation with my wife and family or eating “The Slop,” I’d pick the latter. It was amazing!

All of the staff were friendly, service was fast, everything was great, but the food is completely awful and over priced. My parents owned a cafe for 34 years and we served the same menu. Biscuits and Gravy, French toast, giant cinnamon rolls, breakfast stuff and burgers. I'm not looking for a gourmet experience at a greasy spoon, but when you serve your cinnamon rolls with a steak knife because you NEED it to eat the thing, there's a problem. Pricing discrepancies on the menu is also an issue. I asked what the difference between the dessert cinnamon roll and the kids menu one was thinking it came with eggs or sausage because it was more expensive. Nope. Same thing, no extras, and I was charged for the more expensive of the two, anyway. It's too bad, I really wanted to love this place.

The kitchen area isn't clean from what i saw. Food was decent. Large portions. Owner wasn't exactly polite. Parking very limited. Seating uncomfortable. The business seems to rely on nostalgia.

I use to like this place and kept on giving it another chance. Today was it's last chance. I had ordered roast beef with mashed potatoes green beans and salad. They served me wilted lettuce with brown edges, mushy green bean's mashed potatoes with a peculiar taste. Roast beef must have been scraped off another plate because I had pieces of bread in it. Overall condition dirty and grimy tables and chairs

Amazing find!! We were passing through and got really lucky. Hole in the wall greasy spoon.and fantastic!! Wonderful staff serving excellent food.

The staff are kind and have always been very child-friendly. My 5, 3, & 1yr old are always treated well. The food is delicious, its always hard to decide.. The liver and onions were my go to for a while, then I tried the fish and the fried chicken Oh my goodness the chicken is soo good. The prices are affordable, and the wait is never long.

I think the breakfast food is pretty decent here. It's pretty consistent and the staff is friendly. It is absolutely packed on the weekends. They make fabulous rolls there.
