I just got a complimentary car wash while my car and I waited for a small but necessarily expensive accessory. It's standard practice, I imagine, bit I must admit it made me feel better about dropping the cash I had to pay. 😉
I have been coming to Davis Moore since 2003. Ben Zeiner was the salesman. Well 14 years later there is a new sheriff in town. His name is Pat "crazy" Blasi. He did everything he could to get us in this new Ram. Him and everyone else involved did a great job!!! We want to thank all of you from Ben to the cleaning lady for helping us get this truck. (The cleaning lady helped me get my change out of the soda machine when it got stuck.) Every one was very knowledgeable and courteous. Thank you all and have a Merry Christmas!! Best Christmas ever!
UPDATE: I have been working with Chris, Davis-Moore's service manager, to find a resolution to this matter. Chris has been very courteous and helpful. I believe we have landed on a positive path forward. I have increased this from a one star review to a three star review. My sincerest hope is that early next week, I will be able to post a new, positive review about how Davis-Moore took the opportunity to turn a negative situation into a show of good customer service.
****ORIGINAL REVIEW****
Davis-Moore does not stand behind the vehicles they sell.
We purchased a brand new 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Davis-Moore. Since we purchased the Jeep we have had issues with the heater blowing lukewarm and cool air, especially on the driver’s side. This problem manifests and is noticeable in the colder months of the year. We have taken the Jeep to Davis-Moore’s service center multiple times. Each time they recommended flushing the system. They would perform a flush, the heater would work for a little while and then it would revert back to blowing cold air.
The early flushes happened while the Jeep was under warranty, so we were not out any money. Later flushes cost us money out of pocket. None of the flushes ever fixed the problem. This month, with colder temperatures setting in, we once again took the Jeep into the dealership to see if they could find a different solution. What we were told was extremely frustrating.
We were told prior to the diagnostic review that if several flushes had not worked, then it was likely that we would need a new heater core. Sure enough, after testing the system, we were told that they could try another flush, but if that did not work we would need to replace the heater core for a little over $1,500. We were told that Chrysler was aware that Jeep Wranglers have this problem, and Davis-Moore was advised by them to try several flushes before moving on to replacing the heater core. What that ensured was that the less expensive attempts to fix the Jeep would likely be under warranty, leaving the more expensive option (also the preferred option) to be done later, when the Jeep is out of warranty. The Davis-More technician told me that he did not believe that Chrysler’s recommendation was the right thing to do, but implied that they were bound to that process.
Recommending and performing multiple flushes, knowing that they have not remedied the situation in the past, and ultimately recommending an expensive heater core replacement while blaming Chrysler is unacceptable. I did not buy a brand new Jeep with persistent heater issues from Chrysler. I bought a brand new Jeep with persistent heater issues from Davis-Moore. When asked if they could offer a reduction of the price of the heater core replacement, since they had consistently told us that flushes would work, I was told that the only thing they could do was discount the rate for an additional flush—the same type of flush that had not worked multiple times before.
I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect a brand new vehicle to have a regularly functioning heater. I also don’t think it is unreasonable for a dealership to take responsibility for the products they sell, especially when they deem a manufacturer’s response to a known issue as “not right.” Quite simply, there is the right thing to do and the wrong thing to do.
Davis-Moore chooses not to do the right thing.
So I go test drive a Jeep and decide to buy it. Finance Manager rushed me through the paperwork, sales manager sets everything up and gives me the keys. Something tells me to check out the paperwork, so I do. Come to find the APR is 18.4.Wow! So I give them back the Jeep in less than 24 hours. I tell the sales manager to please dispose of the check in the shredder. He says "No problem, we'll take care of it." This was on a Friday. Come Monday my bank account is in the negative because they tried to deposit the check he said he would shred. I didn't transfer any funds to checking cause I didn't buy the Jeep. Shady car dealership. Would not recommend to anyone. They tried presenting the check twice already. Unbelievable. Watch your back when you go to this place. South Broadway kind of dealership.
We were driving from Lincoln NE to San Angelo TX and had to make an emergency stop in Witchita KS because the men at N Street Lube in Lincoln failed to properly put our car back together after a routine oil change. They had even left a drill bit extender in the undercarriage panel. While driving on the interstate the car was making scraping noises and we needed to stop and have it repaired. Thank goodness for Davis-Moore mechanics Gustavo and Harry who put it back together properly for us. We were taken care of wonderfully by every member of the staff! Thanks Davis-Moore!! You guys are awesome!!!!!
1st experience: after going to Steven's Volkswagen and getting set up with an inexperienced dealer we traveled further down Kellogg for Davis-Moore Dodge. We were not only able to find a newer 4 door sedan for a better price, but my wife was also able to get a better trade in deal for her old mustang. The follow up service for our '14 Dodge Dart has been a great experience over the pass two years including their collision center after my wife has been backed into twice.
2nd experience: Havinf phenomenal service with Davis-Moore Dodge I was looking to trade in my '10 Dodge Challenger RT for something newer/up to date. I set my eyes on a '16 Challenger Scat Pack and a dealer was able to send me videos of this vehicle and photos of what I wanted to see further details on. They gave me more than a fair deal on my trade in as well as a great offer on the Scat Pack. After utilizing the free 1yr oil change, they were able to updated the software as well free of charge and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Their facility is exceptional and exceeds the comfort standards for customers when waiting.
3rd experience: My brother and I went to look for a vehicle, his first vehicle. After dealing with their finance department it was determined that he had his sights set a little too high. However, their knowledge and experience with customer service enabled them to help him figure out what he wanted within the price range they were able to meet. He got his first car and they got another loyal customer.
I'd say Steven Volkswagen lost out on a great opportunity due to their inability to negotiate terms with their young dealer saying "sticker price is final" the entire time. If you want someone who will treat you fair with respect compassion and dignity. Choose Davis-Moore Dodge I still hear from them every year.
Been screwed twice by this place. First time, they didn't do some recommended service which voided a major part of the lifetime warranty I'd paid for. Second time was just now as I discovered that the oil change contract I prepaid for was only good on my old car, which I'd recently traded in. The contract was tied to the car, not me, the customer. They've lost my business.
This dealership is terrible. When I have an open recall on my truck and a Mopar gold warranty they wanted to charge me $90 to pull the code which takes 30 seconds or less. I will never go to a crooked dealer like this - do yourself a favor and don't go to this service department, unless you want an exorbitant and unfair bill!
We've taken several vehicles to this place for service for years. We usually purchase the oil change package deal because we used to have confidence in their quality work and it lowered each oil change to a very economical price. The past 3 times we have taken vehicles in for an oil change, the fluids were not topped off in the vehicles were not vacuumed, as stated in the details of the purchase. Today, we needed an oil change before hitting the road. While removing the oil filter, somehow the oil filter housing was broken, or an oil pressure sensor was broken. As much as I know about cars that almost means the same thing? We were told it would cost us $300 to repair. it is so disappointing to hear that we get to pay for something we did not break. It was not a "normal wear and tear" sort of issue; it happened only because of the work they were doing! Lesson learned. Any recommendations for a good honest service station?
Broch is the best salesman I've had. He always takes care of me no matter where he goes. Great customer service !!!
My favorite place to shop for a car or truck is Davis-Moore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Wichita,Ks.. We have bought several different vehicles from Davis-Moore and have never had a problem with them. Davis-Moore gave us the deal we couldn't pass up for all of our vehicles. We have used their service garage and they are always courteous and prompt in taking care of our vehicles routine maintenance needs. We appreciate the values displayed by Davis-Moore in not being open on Sundays and that they help out with other children's charities! Thank you very much! Our family appreciates you!
Awesome job it was a pleasure working with everyone at the dealership. They went out of their way to get my sons car and me a car all in one day. Great team of people. I have never had a dealership work so hard to get me and my son a car at a payment that we wanted.
I have been buying and servicing my vehicles with Davis-Moore since 1998. I have purchased numerous vehicles and have had major work done by the their excellent service department (engine replacement.) They have always been professional and above all, honest. I will always choose Davis-Moore!
I usually receive help from Terrence, who is absolutely fabulous, but this time Padraic helped me. They took care of my Journey (after damage due to driving through high water), explaining the process along the way. It only took a week to complete the repairs and I was back on my journey with my Journey. The only thing that could have improved my experience was that they took care of the body work there as well.
