I see movies about twice a week and this is my usual theater.
If I want to see a film on a huge screen I go to Louisville but that is rare.
The theaters are very clean and large enough to give a true theater feel.
Because of my diet I can't eat theater popcorn but I always get a large soda and refill it at least once. Drink selection is great and the staff is super friendly and healthy.
All in all, just a great theater!
Always so clean and the staff is supper friendly!! Great place to meet friends for a movie night. Reasonable prices. And they have a very fun game room, I always show up early to play the games!!
All in all this was a good experience. There were no issues that we had to dwell with and the place was pretty empty. We didn't have a line at all and there were maybe 10 or 15 in the theater with us. Would have been five stars but the picture quality could have been better.
I previously rated this only 4 stars but I've been coming here almost once a week for 5 months and had to re-review since it is actually my preferred theater in the area now. Great comfortable seats, very friendly staff, and it's always very clean. Even the restrooms are clean here. They have an incredible rewards program, I am a diamond member and it takes my wife and I two movies before we have earned a small popcorn. The staff is always willing to accommodate my picky request for layered butter and they never mind when I get a refill on my way out. In a time where reclining theaters are popping up everywhere in the area, I'd choose Regal 16 in New Albany 100% of the time.
I love the movies even if they are expensive. I mean honestly even though I don't go often I always enjoy the experience. The popcorn and candy are amazingly wonderful, the movies playing are often very good. Even though this film wasn't one of my favorites I still enjoyed the time I was there. The staff is very kind and helpful. Plus the rewards are extremely helpful.
Nice sound quality! Chairs are old school, no recliners, although there is cup holders. The movie clerks are friendly, smiling, and helpful. You can order online and pick up your tickets at the modules or at customer service. Lots of parking. It would have been nice if the front sign on the building said Regal 16 instead of Great Escape.
My wife is hearing impaired, and to really enjoy a movie we rely on the use of the closed captioning glasses. The last few times we've tried to see a movie at this regal the glasses didn't work. They were charged and set properly, but simply wouldn't pair to the theater.
Because the glasses show no sign of working or not working until the movie actually starts (no captioning in the previews), it means missing the first 15 mins of the movie while getting someone to try and fix the issue (if they can even fix it), or just getting a refund and leaving.
It's clear they don't actually test their closed captioning equipment, or don't care if it's actually working. I understand that to most people this particular problem is a non-issue, but to those that rely on such tech it is extremely frustrating.
We usually attend the Clarksville regal cinemas, and never have that sort of issue there. I would encourage anyone to go there instead of the regal in New Albany.
My daughter's and I go to movies here fairly often. It is a nice theatre and very helpful staff. It was sparsely populated the last time, but I think we were waiting for more popular movies. We saw Only the Brave which was very good.
Very nice. Easy to especially since I'm frrom Louisville. Personel very nice. Will definitely I will come again
I love this theater! They always have awesome movie events going on here. The only reason I can't give this place a five star rating is because of their prices. It seems like every time my wife and I go to the movies they raise the prices.
Theaters are a little small, seating-wise. Usually fairly clean. Sometimes can have wait lines, but it is a decent spot.
This isn't the most modern theatre, but they participate in unique viewings like the Studio Ghibli films. The lobby is spacious and the theatre is easy to get to, even from Louisville. Close to several restaurants, both chain and local.
Got here super early so I could get my favorite seat. Ticket taker recognized the enthusiasm, and let me set on the bench.. But stayed first in line!
This is our go to movie theater. The whole family went to see Cars 3 yesterday, we had a wonderful experience. Great popcorn, clean restrooms, very friendly staff.
The staff here are nice and helpful. The theatre is very clean for its age and restrooms are okay, but in need of renovations. However I can only give the cinema 2 stars because of the horrible sound/picture quality. Sound is terrible here - like the free mono earbuds on a cheap airline flight, turned up to full blast so that it hurts your ears and you hear mostly distortion. (The speakers in front/behind the screen are turned up much louder than the surround speakers, and there is often distortion.) As for picture, the cinema has one or two larger screens, but about 12 of the 16 screens are the size of the village 8 with similar picture quality. Given the 12.50 admission price, I would expect it to compete with the River Falls Location but it does not. I recommend the River Falls Cinema location, or a theatre on the Louisville side.
