It was pretty good stay, much better than I expected. We had to stay in 2 ⭐motel because we have 2 dogs and a cat. After I read reviews I didn't expect much but it was clean and when I just walked in the room it smelled like clean laundry, which very surprised me. BTW they have washing machine and dryer. Smoke free rooms also big +. Good location! A lot of restaurants around and Walmart and gas station. Would recommend

Over priced (especially their weekend rates, they jump up $30 more per night), the room smelled like a damp basement, sheets on the bed were dirty and had stains on them, and the bathroom looked like it hasn't had a good cleaning for a few months. I don't know how they have close to 3 stars, this is a 2 star motel at best.

A great place. Very clean and reasonable. It's close to Michigan lake and Chicago. Check in was very easy. Close to food and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Bed Bugs! This hotel (Red Roof Inn, Michigan City) is not very clean, but we were willing to overlook that because it was one of only two options priced reasonably around $100. But I woke up with about 10 bed bug bites, and I'm NOT willing to overlook that. I'm not going to just write a bad review, because that isnt enough. You cannot in good faith continue allowing people to stay there and leave with bedbugs. That is unacceptable. Ill be contacting the BBB and every authority agency I can to shut this down. Disgusting.

They did not clean our room or make our bed every day. We were not happy. The first room we were given was saturated with smoke. The second room was better, but you could still smell smoke. We will not come back.

+close to variety of restaurants

Red roof put a lot of work into this location. But the house keeping. They need a new supervisor and inspection. Very much o. The low end and needs maintenance update one the regular. For a hundred dollars a night. They may need to pay employee's better, to get better cleaning results.

Request non smoking room, the room had a strong odor of smoke and something sour. Upon request we were offered another room that was much better. Nothing special here just a place to sleep. Beds were very firm and pillows very lumpy. The price was cheap and the staff very nice.

Red roof inn is a motel and it has an office. The office has vary nice people. But some of the rooms have two beds and some of them have 1 bed.

Just checked in for a 2 night stay. I ALWAYS CHECK THE BEDS BEFORE WE GET COMFORTABLE AND OF COURSE WE FOUND BED BUG SHELLS. WE ARE LEAVING NOW! THINK YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO STAY JS

If I could rate this hotel 0 stars believe me I would. Way to start off a vacation. First the lady at the front desk didn't know what she was doing whatsoever. She then swiped me and my guests cards multiple times and then more money was taken out of our accounts than was supposed to. So what was supposed to be a 100$ charge, they ended taking almost 300$ out of our accounts. We then did not have any money to go out or buy food or anything. Manager didn't even know what he was doing either. STAY away from this area and red roof. bunch of red necks and rude white people.
