Clean and pretty quiet. Desk help was great. Very hard to find from the road. Pets welcome, which is why I chose the place. No coffeemaker but the lobby had very good coffee. The parking lot was busy all night. I would stay here again.
Ive stayed at numerous other red roofs and other chains. But if i had any problem with my room or stay it was immediately fix. When i say now.. Right now it was GM dale is tremendous courteous and down to earth on point. House keeping is getting better so is maintance. Ask and you shall get a answer. Love this place!
The people that work there, the ones I encountered were very courteous. The room was okay, missing a few items you usually see in most hotel rooms but that might help in keeping the costs down. It wasn't anything that was too much of an inconvenience but some people might. The hotel is in a odd location and it can be easily missed when you're trying to find it.
Horrible experiencefecal stains on sheets and in toilet and what looked like pubic hair on the other bed. The front desk staff were friendly and changed our room where we encountered the same issues. We ended up changing hotels at this point.
First room hadn't been cleaned very well. Bed sheets dirty. Long black hair in bathroom. Potato chips and marshmallows on the floor. It went on and on. Office girl did put on new sheets and sweep floor. Next morning was moved to a premium room. That night went fine. Next day was out all day. Left full service card on the bed. Came back late that evening Nothing had been done. I can show many pictures to prove all this. Will be contacting someone for some compensation on this matter when I get home
You get what you pay for. The door locks, and the AC & wifi work well, but that's about all that's good. Stayed here twice, and both times there were many ladies of the night hanging out in the parking lot with some loud drunk people. Immediately took the comforter off the bed and didn't use because it was stained and smelled bad. Husband checked the AC filter to see if it was clean because we both have allergies, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in at least a year, probably longer, and he ended up cleaning it so we could breathe. Water is very chlorinated (not sure if that's the whole town or just this place) but both rooms we had smelled kind of like a pool.
The area could feel better, pulling in there was a shirtless guy standing by the entrance so I was to see later getting dinner at the Bob evens abroad town (there's one in the motel complex area missed it on Google maps) room are not bad for the money but the building itself could use a good cleaning but the front desk lady was helpful. Had to give us a 2 floor room even though I wanted a ground floor room but have is the senior discount to make up for it. All in all not a using place to stay when you need it. But, not the place to go if on vacation. We were avoiding hurricane Irma so couldn't be too picky
We stayed for one night on our way through town. We got a room with two double beds. The room size was decent, and I liked that they have wood floors instead of carpet in the room we were in. We asked if our room would have a microwave or fridge, and they said there was a "chance" that it would, so that seems like a luck of the draw thing. Our toilet ran all night, and we had to mess with the tank to get it to fill. Other than that The beds were comfortable enough and the mattresses were clean.
The staff is beautiful, helpful, and kind- pleasant in every way! But to be truthful, in regard to the inn itself, in all three of the beds we encountered during our visit, there were very noticeable remnants of unwashed various mystery fluids on each of the comforter blankets. Not simply stains- just unwashed. Though it did appear that the small blanket and sheets below /were/ washed. Again, while I love the staff, the condition of the rooms constantly required us to do some positive self-talk in order to sleep. The stay was only redeemed by the delightfully sweet and helpful character of Alicia, Mike, and Peter. They're all beautiful.
We're from Charleston, it stormed and, as usual, our electric went out. I have two small children (a toddler and an infant), so we needed something. Last time we went to the Marriott because were rewards members. Never again, when we're staying in town. This Red Roof in was fantastic. The man at the front desk was amazing, especially for being there at 1:30 am on a stormy night. The room was super cozy and updated. The price is awesome. Then to top it off the woman at the lobby desk, when we checked was so kind. We kind of fell in love with it. I'm not hoping the electric goes out over night, but we know where were going if it does.
Pulled up, and pulled right out! I've always had great experiences with Red Roofs, but I would not even consider getting my child out of the car with hookers standing around and walking up and down the road, and setting outside on the steps. As a mom traveling alone with her child it's not worth taking any chances. I could not tell you anything about the hotel except the area was awful. Called as soon as I pulled out and they would not give me a refund, but all well. You couldn't pay me to stay there! Drove about ten miles and booked a room at different hotel.
Driving up, I was like, "oh man, this place is gonna suck!" But the desk person was very nice. She explained where to park and told me how to find my room. The outside is as you would expect of an older two story, motel with outside entrances to each room. The inside though was quite nice. Let me give the unexpected niceties: extra plugs and phone chargers easy to get to. Nice reading lights above the bed. Excellent mattress and comforter. Great pillows. Soft, clean towels. Great smelling room (bleachy clean smell).
