Probably the worst hotel experience of my life.
At check in and check out, the receptionists were rude. One exception, Matthew. Nice chap.
Room. Found someone's tweezers on the floor. Very worn room.
Elevators are hopeless.
Dinner, lovely server but the food was awful so decided against breakfast.
Went down to get tea to take back to our room. Poor selection then a very rude waitress wanted to charge me $2.72 just for a cup of hot water.
No star. Dirty floors. Dirty sheets, stained. TV did not work. Informed the front desk early, nothing was done. Vending machines not working. Sad excuse for a hotel. Never setting foot in that place again. Way overpriced. Big disappointment.
It was an “alright” experience here. The front desk could have been a little more helpful with our reservation. The hotel is dated, but clean for the most part. The elevators definitely need the carpets cleaned, they looked disgusting. Our room looked clean but smelt like a locker room. The restaurant/bar is way overpriced. The lady who runs the gift shop is really sweet though.
I give this one star for the rate. The atmosphere was pretty rough. Online it states that you get a complementary breakfast ( no matter what room you get ) Me and my Husband went downstairs to get our breakfast and they told we weren’t on the list for the complementary breakfast. Which didn’t make sense since it says online you get a complementary breakfast. I also called ahead of time to make sure parking was included someone did tell me it was included. We get there and it’s an extra fee to park. All in all it cost as much as a better hotel. Should of payed the difference to stay somewhere nicer.
incredible check-in line, with only one counter open. Okay, I understand that doesn't count for room experience. Then we opened the door, found mold all over the corner of the ceiling. Okay, I understand it was the covert place that might be easily be neglected. Then surprised to see left over toiletries remaining around the bathtub from the last guest stayed in. Good, some extra supplies for us. When the night fell down, crawled into bed, I got stung by an unidentified object. Wow, must be another surprise gift, an earring underneath the sheet. Thanks for a series of elaborate arrangements. We feel lucky~
This place is old and run down. Management claims it is under renovation but there are no indications that is true. One of four elevators was working and the I've slept on concrete that has more give than these beds. The room we booked was not available and we were offered no compensation for the inconvenience. Shower was decent but don't expect fresh towels unless you ask for them. Stairwells are littered with trash and cigarette butts. Definitely won't stay here again.
The staff service here is great, bunch of people. Location is pretty close to downtown, so if you are looking to stay near town and stay under budget is great. However, my room is dated, needs repair. My drawer is missing 3/4 drawers. No chair to go with my desk. No hair dryer. No mini fridge. Just normal commodity that other hotels usually have.
The pictures online looked great, but the hotel is AWFUL. Smells like it flooded. HOLES in the walls throughout the hallways, and holes in the ceiling of the rooms. Blood on pillow case. No air vent in bathroom. Iron didn't work. Stains all over the floors. Only 2 of the 4 elevators "work". Apparently you can't use the stairs either. The closet that the ice machine was located in had trash and beer bottles all over. No security- any of the sketchy foot traffic outside can easily walk into the hotel on any side of the building. Plenty more to say, but I think that's enough. Absolutely the worst hotel I've stayed in for price of $100/night.
While I accept that there is a large influx of people from Florid a hotel only has a finite number of rooms to service. Check out is 11am check in is at 4pm so they have a minimum of five hours. I arrived at 3.40pm and I got a room at 5.45, not the room I requested which was either on the first (ground) floor or close to the elevator as both my wife and I have difficulty walking, I got neither. I was on the 9th floor and apart from 3 rooms, 2 side by side and one directly opposite them, I was as far as possible from the elevator.
I tried to get a drink and was told it wasn't possible because no one could use the till.
Toilets in the lobby area were dirty, certainly among the worst I have seen in many years of travelling to America.
Yes, there is an emergency, but it is basic hygiene not to allow dogs into a restaurant, except service dogs, but that seemed to go by the board as well.
I complained to the manager and I was offered a 10% discount, I accepted, but it barely covers the time I paid for when the room was not available for my use.
I would be interested to read recent reports from people who have stopped here, to see if their experience was different to mine, but I will never stay here again.
The Ramada is great for the traveler looking to save a little money and still be right in the middle of Atlanta action. The hotel is pretty old and the remodels seem to have been done fast, not for quality (paint overstay on the carpets, dried caulk mess in the tub). We were easily able to walk to all of the downtown attractions and the room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is dated but it is a great location. Morning breakfast buffet was 16 dollars and it was okay I just did not want to pay that much for breakfast. They also charge additional fees for parking. Staff was friendly and professional. I will go back but I have to figure out a better breakfast option.
This hotel wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. It was a little dated, but so what? If I'm visiting from out of town I generally don't sit around my hotel room anyway. The towels and sheets were clean, everything functioned the way it was supposed to, and the staff was friendly. I will say that the housekeeping staff could use a little improvement. While the room was clean, there was a Cheez-It bag under one of the beds that had been left behind. Our room also was never attended to, and we were gone from 11am-4pm. Not a huge deal, but that should have been more than enough time. I definitely thought it was worth it considering how much cheaper this place was than others downtown.
I give this hotel 3 stars because I was able to get a good deal on the room and it is right in downtown Atlanta and close promiximity to Zoo and major sites. That said the property is old and run down. My room was clean but decor was super dated and there were issues with outlets and lamps not working. furniture was beat up and walls were cracked and discolored. Toilet also leaked and refilled periodically. The staff were super nice and I noticed there was a lot of development around the hotel so it looks like the area is being built up. Kind of slummy right now. The shuttle service was great and the drivers were friendly. But this place is in dire need of a renovation. If you can get a room room under $100 a night you can look past the other stuff. I got mine for $86. Other hotels will run you over $200 a night.
Not a good experience. Will NOT stay here again. They gave us 3 towels even though we had 4 guests. My husband had to fix the shower head. Shower handle was broken. No hot water one night. No extra roll of toilet paper. Definitely over priced for this type of hotel. The least they could have done is put a mini fridge and microwave in each of the rooms. The restaurant is way overpriced. Did I mention this was not a good experience?!
Terrible hotel. Dirty room. Roaches in room. Tub knob was broke. Floors dirty. No hot water for shower. White stain on bed skirt. Decor outdated and dirty. Cracks in ceilings/walls. Parking in lower deck was sketchy. No security visible. Parking lot gates unmanned and always open. Door leading from lower parking deck into hotel always unlocked even though sign said locked after 9:00 pm. Given room already occupied. Heard noise inside room and knocked on door before entering. Someone came to the door. Front desk gave them a new room and told us to keep that room. Even though someone had already been in it. This hotel should be demolished. NEVER USE THIS HOTEL!!!!
