Nice people, but not much of a campground. Not worth the trip.
The place is right, the location is right, but most importantly, the family owners go above and beyond what one would normally expect.
Thank you Butch, Robert and your friendly support staff for providing my group such a great experience.

I arrived at 9:21pm when I was on my way to Alabama. The owner was precautions to open the door for me because it was dark outside and they are "official" close at 9pm. But once I greet him and the check-in went smoothly. The best part about this camping spot is it's very cheap and have hot shower with laundry. Fairly big spaces for ⛺. I really recommended this spot for anyone.
TL;DR: Very Cheap, hot shower, laundry!!!
Loved this Overnight RV park!
It was off the beaten path a little so it wasn't too busy like many of the state parks. Which we enjoyed.
The amenities were excellent, clean and in close proximity to everyone's sites. They offer washer/dryer units for a $1 fee that was well worth it for us as we had gone caving with G3adventures at cloudland canyon state park.
The grounds were perfectly maintained( and with out us even saying anything about the grass being a tad high), I suppose the owners saw us playing horseshoes and came out the very next day and had trimmed the areas inside the throwing boxes. It was a very personal touch for us that we sincerely appreciated!
We were on the creek side and loved our site, and we were also happy to see that the "group shelter" area had 2 gas grills, tables, and recreation items for us to use at our leisure. As we had a dog, we found the layout of the rv park perfect to walk her [on a leash] around the premises.
The owner, Carolyn, was super sweet and helpful during our phone conversations and made the R Haven Overnight Family Park an easy choice for use when deciding where to go for our Holiday weekend.
We will definitely be back!!!
Love this place!!!!! Home away from home great place to stay treats you like family so drop by and stay a few days
We found this place on our way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had made a reservation but there where plenty of sights to choose from. We picked a tent sight with water and electric right on the bank of the creek. I listened to the flow of the water as I went to sleep. It was so relaxing. Although the interstate is through the woods a ways, you hardly even notice it. This was one of the best and most relaxing place. We even stopped on our way back and spent two more nights. Very clean, showers are just like home( maybe even cleaner). Not far from town. The owners are the best. They are gracious hosts. I will definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful experience at this campground. We stayed in a cabin. It went well beyond our expectations, as well as not breaking the bank. The owners were very friendly and informative. The campground was peaceful and quiet. The bathhouses were adequate and very clean. There was plenty to do for entertainment. There is a catch and release pond as well as board games in the cabin. There is a picturesque creek on the property, as well. It's a great place for people of all ages. We will definitely be visiting again.
This place is really great. Water and electricity for the RV spots and great cling spots as well. Very generous and nice hosts with a great view of the mountains very close. Would highly recommend this place and it has a very nice place with bathrooms and showers, and laundry machine with dryer.
Great for all
