Got a cottage that had 3 bedrooms and a small kitchen. Beautiful and cozy. Slight view of the water from the balcony. Staff was very helpful. Situated right in downtown. Highly recommend.

Staff is very friendly! We received great recommendations for local wine tasting and restaurants from the front desk attendant. The location is great with so much within walking distance! Room was clean and comfortable!

Just got back from a two night stay and enjoyed it. Rooms were clean and spacious, staff was friendly. It was close to everything. It had a nostalgic flare. Would stay there again and again.

Good location. Room was nice, but could hear neighbors talking through the walls. Not much of a breakfast for a bed and breakfast basically bagels with some sliced quick breads and fruit. Limited on site parking.

Although the reception is very welcoming the pet friendly room was dismal with the guest cars in the lot literally next to the room windows so you couldn't open the window without hitting someone's car. I spent the night listening to people get in and out of cars, and the bar across the street was noisy. For 350 per night, it was more like an 80 dollar motel. I couldn't wait to leave. The fridge on the bathroom floor needs to be thrown out and replaced. At least defrost it.

The rooms are pretty small but nice. The WiFi does not quite reach the rooms, so you'll have to connect to it from the lounge area

Old world Carmel. One block walk to downtown. Reasonable rates, wifi, breakfast. We stay here everytime we visit Carmel.

We spent three lovely days at the Fireplace Inn with our dog. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The gardens and the patios were beautiful and we enjoyed eating our breakfast and playing board games with other guests outside. It's not the most modern or spacious Inn, but it's very quiet, a great value, a great location, and the Inn Keepers were very helpful in locating restaurants and pet friendly sites to visit. We will be back!

The room is what I expected, small and quaint. It did the job for what we needed, somewhere to stay to explore Carmel and Monterey at a reasonable price. I wish I was told beforehand that the only source of heat is the fireplace, which comes with a warning that using it may be dangerous to your health. Other than that, this B&B is a good, no-frills choice to enjoy one of the better beaches on California's coastline.

Lovely and very comfortable Inn. Affordable rooms with nice and clean interiors. Basic breakfast is included and parking is enough. The lot doesn't have that many spots but street parking does the job. Overall I'd recommend for a budget inn.
