Very old hotel, has been numerous chain names. Current owners have done a fantastic job of renovations. Large indoor play area, pool/hot tub. Arcade and great breakfast. Will stay again for sure!

The hotel itself isn't my issue. My issue is the pricing. Quoted a price of almost thirty dollars higher at the desk vs what we were able to get through the main reservation hotline number for the exact same room. The hotel itself is dated and still needs renovations, but has improved. Overall, the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but the difference in price at the front desk stuck with me

The nicest hotel the area has to offer with clean rooms, amenities, hot breakfast, and friendly staff. Our family had a blast in the pool area and indoor playground. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Less than impressed. I have stayed in some older hotels before, and while I understand it takes a lot of money to remodels these places, the price should reflect. Room was clean and plain but the paint was peeling off the walls and the smelled like it had been closed up for years. Will take the time to look for better next time.

Rooms were spacious. A short wait at the desk for check-in but a local event kept the place busy. Decent access to roads and into parking lot. Pool area was nice. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Rest of hotel needs a little updating.

The bar/restaurant was the best part. Good food and excellent, friendly service. The rooms were adequate, no mini fridge though. The beds were only double, not queen. Clean except the grout in the shower, it was stained. The indoor pool and playground are was supposed to close at 10 pm, but we had to listen to screaming kids til almost 11. The buffet breakfast was okay, but the coffee was terrible. Fine for a one night crash if you're traveling.

The good; Great staff, very friendly. Wonderful pool/ kid area. Loved that they had a playground and kiddie pool. I've never seen that. Pretty decent breakfast too :)
The bad; The beds were a bit small. The TV kept getting loud and then really low (maybe it was just the room I was in) and no fridge.
    Overall great place

The location was convenient to nearby swimming, canoeing and hiking. Staff was friendly. Room was mediocrely cleaned as we found a sock on the floor. The pet fee was stiff at $25 per dog. Pool and hot tub closed promptly at time regardless that many guest rooms were still enjoying them. As a family vacation hotel I thought the breakfast times of 6 am till 9 am to early.

Stayed at the Ramada for my birthday. Had problems from the beginning I had booked the room for 1 night during a summer special through expedia. But when I checked out I noticed after paying that it had been booked and charged for 2 days not the 1 so I went to change the days booked but it would not allow me to make the change as it said there were no rooms available on the night I needed which I found strange since I had already booked the room for that night. I then had to call expedia who then had to call the hotel and when all was said and done the hotel agreed to refund the 2nd night but in return I had to pay full price for the room. Which was better than canceling and having to pay a $74 fee. So instead of paying $68 I ended up paying $92 and now have to wait to be refunded. I had originally booked a room with the main purpose of using the amenities such as the pool and hotel bar but when I got there I noticed a sign stating the pool had closed early that day and it would not be open until the next day. Then I asked about the bar and the receptionist said that they didnt have a bartender that night so they decided not to open it. At this point I was already less than thrilled with everything since staying at a hotel is considered a splurge for me. I took my key card and went to my room and it was less than I had expected the beds were hard, there was no microwave, and no refrigerator. So i had called down to the front desk and spoke with the manager regarding everything and was upgraded for free which was a bonus and would of earned them a 2 star rating but that wasnt the end of a bad hotel experience. When morning came I used my free breakfast voucher at their in hotel restaurant and lets say I was extremely underwhelmed by my choices. The breakfast consisted of 2 buffet bars that had 80% sweet breakfast options; various oatmeal, cereal, pancakes and the only non sweet options were hash browns and sausage links which I did grab being the only non sweet option since I am not a sweets person. The first bite I took of the hash browns tasted like dry cardboard and after that I was so disgusted with the entire trip I literally tossed the food in the trash and left my plate on the table. Check out went smoothly, but after I arrived home I noticed an editional $10 charge from the hotel which I left the room in good condition, picked up all the trash and even went as far as to leave them a note about a light that I had noticed had a short in it when turning it on. No idea why they charged me an additional $10 but because of this I decided with everything 1 star was appropriate. Will be looking at other hotel options should I decide to splurge again. Very dissatisfied.
