I really don't care for Marriott. Really overpriced. The room temperature was perfect for this stay, but that in addition to some of the help received by the representatives in the lobby, is all I have to say that's positive. 'Thank you' to the room personnel who I think are angels to clean my room night after night (but that comes with every hotel (unless requested otherwise).

This chain always seems to charge for parking whether it's in LA or Raleigh. IMO, not a good look.

Unless you are an elite Marriott rewards customer, they don't provide free Internet access.

I feel like they 'nickel and dime' you and I don't like that about any business. I probably won't stay at another Marriott in the future. I don't travel much hence the reason I forgot how much I dislike this chain.

Downtown Raleigh is super nice though!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Tons of parking either self park or valet. The staff are fantastic. If you are using the convention center then you can get there without going outside. The rooms were nice, clean and worth the rate. Love the Starbucks and restaurant inside as well.

Not as clean and fresh as most Marriott properties I've been at. But it certainly wasn't a bad experience. I guess I have a higher standard for Marriott properties. Rooms were a good size, shower was fantastic. Location was great for the conversation center with great choices for food both in and around the hotel. Will definitely stay again.

When I arrived at the hotel, the foam pillows and dental care kit I had requested weren't in the room. I thought it was awesome that I could do this in the app, but it's not as awesome when it doesn't actually do the thing it's supposed to do. Overall, the facility seems pretty behind technologically. The Coke machines had run out of Coke on multiple floors. However, everyone I encountered was very nice and helpful. One nice young blonde lady actually went to the back of the restaurant to get me a free can of Coke. If it wasn't for her and the rest of the staff, this would probably be a three. Please check to see if there's a gap between your app and the hotel systems. Thank you.

Breakfast experience at Rye was lackingcan't not recommend as a business breakfast spot. Staff was working hard and were very polite. Appears to be a management issue in terms of staffing levels, food ordering and communications. For example so understaffed that we waited for 15 minutes before seated and then another 15 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted coffee. I can't go 30+ minutes without coffee in the morning. We need a new "Joule" for downtown breakfast meetings.

Very comfortable rooms! Beds were great. The restaurant and bar was pretty good too! The staff was super helpful and friendly. We were there with our baby and they brought a fridge up for us to store his milk in.

The room was good but Matthew was extremely rude. We made reservations for two rooms to be linked together. The person that we spoke to on the phone said it wouldn't be a problem. When we check in Matthew rudely said the two rooms will be on separate floors. We asked if he could at least put us on the same floor, he said NEGATIVE. So he gave us two rooms on two different floors. One room was supposed to have a double bed and the other have a king. We asked him which room had the king and he told us which one it was. We went to the rooms and they both had double beds. We went back down to tell him the room was wrong and he didn't even apologize for his mistake. We asked him if there was anyway to get us two rooms linked together. He said NEGATIVE. We asked him again if he can put us on the same floor and he said NEGATIVE because they are for guests that haven't even checked in! He eventually said he can put us on the floor by reassigning some rooms and he said "note that I'm moving someone out of a handicap room for you." We said we don't want to take the persons room if they are handicap. Then he said they weren't handicap. Why did he say that than, just to make us feel bad? Were we happy with Matthew? NEGATIVE! Also, no free internet, no microwave or fridge in the rooms.

This hotel is always a pleasure to visit. And the past I've stayed in the rooms which were always upscale and cleaned very will. The underground tunnel to the convention center his convenient if you are attending an event there. The restaurant, Rye, nearby offers good southern food, live music, and a bar. There is also an attached Starbucks. This truly is the hotel to stay at if you were staying in downtown Raleigh.

The Marriott City Center is a good hotel in a nice location. Florence checked me in and was a delight. She was extremely kind and helpful, going above and beyond, and setting a great vibe for my stay. Big thanks and kudos to her!

If you find something, they've got your back. The pool and jacuzzi and weight room are fine. The rooms have smart TVs and are quite clean, with a writing desk and plenty of outlets.

Nice comfy beds. Rye was one of the best hotel restaurants I've enjoyed. Loved the friendly staff, as well. Would have given 5 stars, but the television in my room didn't work and they told me that it would be 30 minutes to send someone up. Also, the concierge lounge coffee was full of grounds.

Our family just stayed at the Marriott downtown Raleigh for 3 days for my son's wedding. We had three rooms total. Everyone was so nice and helpful especially Jasmine at the desk and Kyle that help with our luggage. I would recommend this place anytime!!! Rooms were clean, valet parking was fast and very friendly also.
