Food was burned
They reduced the price but charged for all the sides that come normally with the meal. So spend 8 dollars for soup and salad. No meat. Also ordered a child's meal to go. Weight or took the meal order bit neglected to tell us they don't have children's meals to go. So got charged for the adult meal.
Not friendly when discussing the bill.
Off my list for future dining.

Portions are large. I ordered a classic diner item, a gyro and it came deconstructed which was different but I enjoyed it. It came with a large Greek salad which was great. We also ordered a regular salad and it was huge. We tried breakfast there too and it was okay-good. For a diner I usually breakfast options. Overall I would go back. The price is right, service is good.

Well food was great but almost choked to death on over toasted rye toast. It was burnt on edges and a little burnt in the middle. Which it was crumbling in my throat as I bit into it. Restaurant personal saw me choking and immediately brought 2 glasses of water. And luckily for me another restaurant patron was sitting right across from me and brought her soda. Thank u rainbow diner for your immediate attention. I couldn't breath because of toast crumbs and I thank them all for the help.i am 63 years old and in fine health so it had nothing to do with that

The food is good But the service is horrible People like to throw around their attitudes here. Also I find it u believable that their kids' menu doesn't include any breakfast foods So I had to oder a full sized meal for my 3 year old that she couldn't even make a dent in Pretty much telling people with kids not to bother coming here Nice message

A classic New Jersey diner on steroids! The food is excellent, not greasy, and flavorful. The made-from-scratch soups are awesome and one can find anything from simple sandwiches to dinner platters. And yes, desserts are tasty, too!

We went for dinner on a Friday night and the place was poppin'! We had to wait for a table of 3, not long maybe 10 minutes or less. My vegan sister was able to find something on the menu aside from salad she could have, so win! I had a waffle sundae and it was delish. Our waiter was very friendly! Will definitely be back to try more food!!

Started going here seven years ago , great food choices and service, reasonable prices.
I ordered chicken vodka and it wasn't up to my expectations, the taste was off and I found some bones in the chicken pices. I think they added some leftover roasted chicken with chicken tenders. We mentioned it to the waitress and first she said they would not charge me for the dish ,after talking with the manager,then came back and said that they would not take it off the bill. When paying at the register the owner was there and we told him about the dish and his attitude was that chicken has bones what are you going to do about it . IT CAN'T BE HELPED HE SAID, I SAID WELL YOU JUST LOST CUSTOMERS HE WALKED AWAY SAYING ,SO DON'T COME BACK I DON'T CARE! It's really a shame that he has a lousy attitude , I hope he treats his help better.

Severely disappointed, just left this diner. I've been mistakenly recommending this place to my customers for almost 3 years, but today finally had a chance to go myself. That'll never happen again. Took forever to get to order food. Drink was made horribly. Pancakes came out over cooked and tasted like rubber. I took 2 bites and had to have the waitress take the plate. She didn't even ask why I didn't eat them. Eggs also over cooked but somewhat edible. My bacon and sausage weren't brought out with my food and I had to wait almost 10 minutes to see my waitress again to get them. My worst dinner experience in my life.

Used to be a great place to eat. Its really going down hill. Couldnt find our waitress for a good 45 mins. The host had to clean our table and give us our check. Disappointed.

In January I went here with 30 people from the apartment complex and I ordered a mini Reuben and that was very good! Other people ordered a chicken parmigana and it was hard as a rock to cut and to eat. They kept complaining about the chicken parmigana but they didn't order anything else. I would have ordered a salad or a hamburger.

First off, don't listen to people that have only eaten here once. I've been going to this fantastic diner for over a decade and I've NEVER had an experience I wasn't pleased with. The food is great, large in portion, and everything is priced reasonably. Give it a try!

My family and I have been going for years, never been an issue till today. Son ordered appetizer chicken fingers never came out before meal. he asked for his meal Cheese Steak with saute mushrooms peppers onions. I wanted cheeseburger w/saute mushrooms mind you do not eat burgers too much anymore, but know mushrooms should be saute. We got all food at once. WHat a mess. My cheese was melted on bun, usually when u order a cheeseburger bun on side with lettuce, tomato, onion on that. My cheese was on bun with burger on top, bun was so soggy couldnt pick up. Talked to women at register fixed the app, but SAID WE ALWAYS DO BURGERS LIKE THAT. WELL GET RID OF MEXICANS HIRE REAL COOKS WHO WORK FOR REAL MONEY. SHE WAS SO NASTY FIGURED CANT ARGUE WITH STUPID. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY PLACES TO EAT. THAT BY FAR WAS WORST WAITRESS SCREWED UP WHOLE ORDER.

My first experience with a New Jersey diner and I was utterly disappointed in everything except for the lovely fabled attitudes of the people in NJ. Our server definitely delivered when it came to her "sparkling" personality which was about as pleasant as a slap in the face with a dirty dishrag. I don't think she could have been any more annoyed to simply be at work.
