Mediocre Pad Thai(at best) and the service was awful-
The service is nice and friendly. The food is actually ok especially Pad Thai noodle. If you go to Thai restaurant, the common dish to try is pad thai noodle though it was not good. The price is a little bit pricey with what you get.
Very good and authentic Thai place in the area. Good and accommodating hosts.
This was our first time here. Hands down, this is the best thai I have had in Jersey. Our waitress was Mai and she was great.
Second time we've been there in a week. Food heavenly, service perfect, decor sweetly Thai. Need to go again soon to try more dishes.
Oh, and fried ice cream deeeelish!
Friend has eaten here a few times and said it was really good. We tried the takeout and it was REALLY good! The portions for takeout were on the small side if you ask me. I think you get more food from other takeout places for the price. At $13 for most of the dishes and some go up to $16 and up.
The noodles were really good and the broth they were cooked in was delicious. I got the stir fried noodles with chicken and veggies. The veggies and broth, like I said, were great. The noodles were really good too but the amount of chicken you get was lacking. The chicken is sliced thin and only a few pieces were in my meal. For the price I wanted a lot more chicken as I had maybe 4 pieces. The other takeout meals were again on the small side but tasted really good.
This place doesn't lack in flavor or taste just in the amount of meat you get with your meal. For the price I would like more food or meat. I would eat here again and try dinning in instead of takeout.
Such a cute place with friendly service. I would usually go for lunch specials. Great food at a great price. Love the red and green curries and the pad thai is always a good option
This is definitely the best, most authentic Thai food in the area. If you're from Eastern Monmouth County, your two choices are Bangkok House in Eatontown or Kunya Siam in Atlantic Highlands. Very nice people, great atmosphere and the food is wonderful.
I've been eating Thai food for many years and the Phad Thai was more sour than I have ever had before. Not sure I cared for that style. The other dishes that were ordered were very good.
Consistently excellent Thai food. Prices are good. Service can be slow when it gets busy, but usually not a problem.
Best Thai food in the area! My husband, friends and I absolutely love this place! Outside it may seem small, but inside you'll find lovely authentic decor creating an inviting space to dine and it's quiet and peaceful. The food is amaaaaazing! Wonderful authentic dishes, and you can get mild to thai-hot spice. Our faves are their curries, Tom kah gai soup, chicken satay and of course their thai iced teas! We try when whenever we're able to go out of our way to pick up their yummy food for take-out (since sadly they don't have delivery) because it's so worth the drive! The people there are very kind and inviting as well. We highly recommend it! :D
Unfortunately, my family and I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. We went on a weekend night, and the restaurant was about ¾ full. Overall, the service was absolutely atrocious. It took quite a long time for the server to come to our table to take our order, and, once she did, an even longer time to receive our food. The personality of the server was quite distant, akin to a robot. She was not pleasant at all. My wife ordered one of the soups, which, although it should have come out right away soon after we ordered, took almost a half hour to arrive; although the soup had a nice, clean taste, it did not match its description in the menu at all. Once the server realized we still had not received our main meals after much more time had passed, she hurried to the kitchen – we believe that she had not given them our meal order, as the food came out almost immediately, way too hot and obviously made too quickly. The taste of the noodle dish was quite bland, and the entire dish was over-sauced. My salad was completely covered with the avocado sauce in a hurried fashion, which unfortunately ruined the dish and made it mostly inedible.
We have been to restaurants with worse service, but the servers were much more personable and apologetic about the slow service. On the other hand, I have seen bland servers who gave great service. But to have the worst of both worlds is a terrible experience, especially when we have a preschool-aged daughter with us who is very hungry and trying to be patient with the rest of us. Looking around the restaurant, there were several other tables that were complaining about the slow service and the taste of the food, which, although that made me feel better that our table was not the only one who was victim to this poor service/food, I was still very disappointed at our overall experience, our first and probably last one, at the Bangkok House.
