This has always been a favorite restaurant of mine. The jasmine tea was perfect, the masaman curry was well cooked, though it could have been a tad spicier. I had ordered medium spicy, but it felt mild. It may be due a personal familiarly with spicy foods though. The very best though was the chicken satay. It comes with two small dishes of different dipping sauces, one of which is the peanut sauce and is my preference, so I order two sides of that instead. The price is on the higher end, but is worth the cost. .
Great vibe, excellent food, super friendly waitress who was attentive and prompt. Prices are reasonable as well for good quality Thai foodBUT the noodle to meat and rice to meat ratios of our dishes was not greatnot enough meat; howver, I will return! Also, I had a Manhattan and it was delicious and worth the $8.
This makes me sad. Our waiter had more questions about the menu than I did and the teriyaki chicken was bland and dry. Though the spring rolls and rice are still great, my family and I decided not to come back after our dining experience despite it being great a couple years ago. The menu items have gone more towards maximizing profit instead of giving pleasant food.
I usually get the Cashew Chicken when I go in. It's absolutely lovely. Wonderful staff. Awesome environment! It's perfect for a date night or a casual dinner with family.
I usually don't post reviews here but I must due to the presumptuous attitude of the servers and staff at this restaurant. Me and my husband really enjoy authentic Thai food. I called to order for us and the hostess that took my order suggested that due to the lack of my menu knowledge I had to be trying to reach the hibachi restaurant next door![Meanwhile we are not locals and were here in Chattanooga for business!] I spoke to the manager about this and the gentlemen named John handled me very well afterwards. Food and management 5 stars. Thanks John!!
The dishes were very good, portions large, prices reasonable and the service excellent! Well worth a visit.
Awesome ambience. Awesome prices. The portion IS on the smaller side of things, so if you're watching your weight- go for it.
Reasonably priced. Good portions. Tasty food. Great atmosphere. Excellent service! !!
Excellent lunch. I had the garlic chicken and it was quite good. Lunch portion was 8.00 and was very good.. restaurant itself was very dark inside but otherwise we'll decorated. The encased falling water with copper surround was enjoyable to watch and had a calming effect. Will dine again herem
Good food and a nice environment. I like to order to go sometimes and pick it up at the bar. Their classic Pad Thai is great in a medium hotness.which is just mild to me. My husband like the seafood version and enjoys it mild. Friendly guy usually at the bar.
Great atmosphere, superb server. Sushi was delicious. Main entree very delicious as well. Reasonably priced.
I am not from the Chattanooga area, but every time I come here I make it a point to come to Rain. They have never disappointed. Great atmosphere and the food is some of the best Thai food I have ever had!
This place had SUPER tasty food. I had the Salmon and it was awesome. The Thai tea was also very good. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and responsive. The prices weren't unreasonable either.
Amazing food. I'm from Portland, Oregon where incredible Thai food is on nearly every corner and I've been searching for a similar fried rice that could compare to my favorite out west. I finally found it at Rain Thai. Try it out, I'd find it hard to believe it would disappoint. Been there several times and they are always consistent in friendliness, great quality food, and ambience. Prices are very reasonable as well.
