Overall a nice hotel. Facility is well kept and the staff friendly and helpful. The only negative I saw in a two week stay was trays of dirty dishes and leftover food left sitting on the floor in the hallways sometimes for more than a daay.
Decent hotel, but with the renovations going on I'd suggest you'd skip until they are complete. Very annoying at times because of the constant door closures to the elevators. What's interesting is that they are making the hallways look nicer but there's little to no change for the inside of the rooms. But they are still nice. The fact that they don't offer free breakfast is probably one thing that detracts from making it a great place to stay long periods of time. That and the fact that not every room has a microwave.
Hotel was clean, service was almost top quality but hampered by renovations currently underway. Beside that, my stay was enjoyable. The club on Saturday evening/night was fun and offered a kind of entertainment that was for the outgoing. It also offered an environment to meet new people and network.
Reception room was very clean and elegant. The tables were professionally set. The food was well prepared and taste was exceptional. We appreciated the great amount of space and the option to take advantage of the on site bar. Service by the bartenders was exceptional.
Clothes got left behind my first day and never were returned. I had someone calling my room at 5 a.m. saying I would need to switch because apparently there was a leak from my room to the next room down. This happened twice in two different rooms. Both at 5 a.m. and the second time somebody was pounding on my door at 5 a.m. to come into my room. Then the GM calls me today at 11:30 stating I needed to leave the property and could not stay another night even though I had already paid online because my dog had been barking and other customers were complaining. He did not seem to care that I had spent a fair amount of money at this hotel already and paid a pet deposit of $50 and did not seem to care about my qualms and customer service issues as stated above. He called the cops and had me escorted off the property. I have never been treated so disgustingly in my life. I'm a single white female with a tiny little cute dog and paid for both of our stays there. The GM Richard Harrison is the worst person I have ever dealt with at a hotel and this is supposed to be a 3.5 star hotel?
Air conditioning worked great. Electric plugs were plentiful. Sound system in meeting room was very good. Important for us geezers. It is in a new area that is a bit isolated so bring a car or let it bring you. Within sight of Highway 35W making it easy to get to and/or easy to see if you miss the turn off. Friendly people everywhere except outside where most people are being sweated down to stumps and are less happy.
I was attending a graduation ceremony being held in their auditorium. The place was elegant and had a very well kept bar and fountain. I would recommend this lace to anyone looking for a profesional venue
The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but the interior is very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with thick duvets on the beds. There are two downsides however. The first is a lack of restaurants nearby. Your choices are Subway or McDonald's, so if you are looking for a better choice of dining you'll have to travel a bit Which brings up the second downside. They are stuck right in the middle of I-35 construction, and it looks like the construction is just getting started. The roads are a mess, so keep that in mind when booking a room.
We only came to this place during Mother's day weekend because they allowed dogs and all of the other places that did were booked. I thought that it would be nice when you walked in and the presentation of downstairs is good but, once we got up to the first room, it was dirty, the complimentary water was half drank and there was an enormous stain from something red on the carpet. I have a phobia of bad hotel rooms as it is and that didn't help. I called down stairs and they moved us into another room without question and it was clean but, it was just so inconvenient because it was 1:30 a.m. and all we wanted to do was go to sleep. When we woke up, I ordered us a nice breakfast and it was good. The service in the kitchen is pretty decent. There was plenty of green area for our dog to go outside. It also had plenty of parking. We called downstairs for a luggage cart and there was only one person at the desk and she couldn't leave so that wasn't very helpful. Needless to say, we won't return.
Pluses - Decent rooms, decent price, and friendly staff. Minuses - the hallways were hot and humid, the elevators were slow and old and got stuck once, the location is really near nothing of interest.
Pros if our stay: indoor pool and hot tub, clean and the hot tub works. Room service. Large parking lot, easy access to Flight museums and stock yards via side roads and able to avoid 35 all together. Staff was nice and courteous. Clean rooms.
Cons: no changing area in pool only bathroom stalls. Key access to pool door but anyone can access through the bathrooms. We had conference people in the pool area while we were there. There is also a club/bar on site these people can also access the pool without a room key via the bathroom entance.
No information on the hotel in the room. Normally I will see a fire exit plan on the door. Check out times, pool hours, restaurant hours, menu, channel line up and such sometime in a book or folder. This hotel has none. Not even a fire exit plan. Had to ask for a channel line up and room service menu they have them at the front desk. Only cosmetic thing was torn carpet but this could lead to safety issue.
Over all we would stay here again.
