Go somewhere else!!!I couldn’t believe how rude & unwelcoming the staff were. I had ALL my information with me & they were nasty to me. Only 4 other people needing their assistance & it took an hour. Our tax dollars pay for them? Throwing a pen across the counter? Wonder why I throw it back? The manager can’t spell Pendleton? The guy next to me left bc they were so nasty & difficult to him.
Frazier was really sweet and made the process quick and painless once I got up there. All employees should have an attitude like that. It DOES suck that I had to wait almost two hours to get up there though
I read some reviews of this place and see people saying it’s not the workers fault that the customer doesn’t have all the relevant papers they need.
That’s hilarious.
Being burnt and having to go back to the house twice 10 years ago, i knew I’d learned my lesson about this place. 5 years ago I received a letter from them telling me it was time to renew, along with a list of all relevant paperwork I would need. I made very sure I had all that was requested. Then I even called these people the morning I drove down to assure there would be nothing at all to turn me away.
I waited in line forever to get to the counter and I proudly set all my called-for paperwork down only for the lady to thumb through it for maybe 2 seconds and ask “where’s your social security card?” I told her it was at the house and then proceeded to show her the letter mailed to me that says nothing of needing my SS card, as well as telling her I called earlier to assure an incident like this wouldn’t happen, and even told her the name of the person I spoke to over the phone, whom was sitting right beside her.
Guess who’s ass was back in the car one minute later driving 20 miles back to the house to get his SS card?
Don’t tell me about not having relevant paperwork. Now it’s been 5 years and I’m going back soon. I’m doing all I did 5 years ago, and bringing my SS card as well. I’m hoping things have improved but I wouldn’t bet on it. I Will review whatever happens though.
*update*
So I went back to renew my license and everything actually went by fine and took less than an hour to get In and out. Plus, there was no driving back to the house!
There have been some improvements in the past 5 years, though when you enter there is still confusion as to where to go. Basically you register at the kiosk and sit down and wait for your number.
Finally, the letter I recieved STILL didn’t mention you needed your S.S. Card, and I did in fact need it again. So just bring it regardless.
Horrible experience. Lost 5 hours of my life here. I had all my paper work in order before hand. Even had the forms pre-filled out
5 hours. Just sitting there. Staring at these little numbers on a screen. Wondering what in the world the staff is doing. Why on Earth did this take so long. Seriously. I know the dmv is slow, but this was ridiculous.
My experience was pretty good. Was helped in a timely manner with great customer service. Come early, be sure to research what you need to bring and you'll have no issues. Nice touch screen computers to take tests on.
I thought they did a great job considering how awful the general public acts. It's not their faults you don't have the proper documentation. They don't make the laws here people. They are just enforcing them and trying to make a living. It's the DMV not the Ritz Carlton. One guy slammed the desk, swore and called the employee a communist. Fun times. Classy attitude random dude. If you acted like that where I work I'd have the police escort you elsewhere.
One thing that's a major problem is everyone's attitude. But if you go in there with everything you need you shouldn't have a problem. Definitely need more seats and a bigger seating area. And someone to watch the kids taking knowledge tests. I went in there and took my cell phone and purse. I could have easily cheated. Take more than two address proofs.
The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. I have been to this location many times and although it gets busy the staff is always professional.
They were direct and helpful. The staff worked as a team, the woman who helped me was very considerate and highly informative.
The service I received was courteous and efficient..it does seem to be lacking helpful assistance to those with disability. Wei witnessed one gentleman with vision and speech impairment and was unable to register by check-in computer. He was also unable to to hear or see when hi turn came up. He finally gave up and left, unsuccessful.
In and out in less than 20 minutes for a renewal that I didn't have paperwork with me for. I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect. Ms. Stinson was amazingly helpful and was greatly appreciated. Thank you all for being so easy to deal with.
I just moved to TN from FL and my experience couldn't have been better. My husband and I needed new licenses and we arrived just after 2 and were out of there before 4. We were called to the counter and few times and everyone we spoke with held a perfectly respectful and even joking during conversation. My father in law went a week before I did and he was there for an even shorter time in the morning and had not one problem. I felt that the friendlier I was the friendlier they were. They got the job done in one visit and no problems.
