This hotel has really gone down. It used to be one of the nicest hotels in Bluefield, now it's worse than anywhere I've ever stayed. So bad we now have to drive to Princeton for a decent place to sleep. The hotel is dirty, the beds are old, linen is questionable and breakfast is terrible. The only positive would be the staffthey are always very professional and nice. They deserve to work in a place they can be proud of.
I am saddened to be able to have to leave negative feedback. We have stayed here three years in a row every first week in December. Our group comes from Georgia to deliver toys to needy kids and nearby cities. Every year we've had no problem. The staff is wonderful as usual. However this year we went in 9 rooms out of the nine rooms 7 of them we're not clean. Some bad bugs some had spiders some of the Sheets Were filthy and stained carpet stain Furniture stained unfortunately the new owners and New Management has left this place looking like a 1980s Motel. The breakfast is good. Just make sure you're there to eat it before 30 minutes prior to them putting it up. The bar inside the hotel was closed so there was nothing to do for a group of 19. Just sad because we had such great experience before and now the hotel is looking dingy in the housekeeping is poor. It may just have to find another hotel to stay in next year
Liked it. Had all the normal room things like frig and microwave. Cleanplenty of hit waterlarge room. Breakfast great and a very nice eating area.
Rooms were clean, bathroom was as well. Breakfast was decent except the juice machine. Very watered down. Staff acted like they couldn't do anything to fix it. Indoor pool would make it so much better!
Visited Bluefield because my husband is from there. We stayed 3 nights. The guy at the checkin desk was friendly & helpful providing local restaurant information & helping me mail personal items. This is a pet friendly hotel & it appears the pet friendly rooms have their own wing so it doesn't matter if your dogs make noise when left in the room. Breakfast was always hot ( for items that were hot) and eating area was always clean.
We had a wonderful stay. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend others to stay also.
Nice little place to stay but there wasn't a fridge in the room. There was plenty of room for one. Also I didn't like that there wasn't an outlet near the night stand. In this day and age the majority of people have cell phones which are usually charging at night. It would be thoughtful if there was an outlet on the night stands. I used one of the lamps that had a built in outlet and used that.
Decent place for under a hundred bucks. Had a continental breakfast bar that was average. Needs updated. Our room had water stains on the ceiling but was nice otherwise. The outdoor pool area looked pretty good with a nice patio area around it. I would stay here again if passing through town.
It was not that clean, there was a loud party going on with a lot of loud young people doing a lot of smoking. The tub wasn't clean and the room was dusty.
I did not check in to the hotel, however there was an event I attended in the lobby. The lobby has a fireplace and television. It's very comfortable. The staff I encountered were very friendly.
Good service, clean rooms, beautiful view on the mountains. I also enjoyed the breakfast that was available in the morning.
Quiet place on the side of the mountain, away from traffic. Pool is a moderate size and is clean. Continental breakfast has a few different options, and includes fresh fruit.
Not much to say. Could have been nicer for the price. Could have been cleaner. Still, it was a night of sleep on the road with a hot breakfast. I told them about my dog and they waived the pet fee. One maid was very helpful and went ahead of me to open doors while I was carrying food back to my room.
