It's a convenient hotel for anyone who is tired of driving on the interstate. It's right off the exit 35 ramp in Chillhowie Virginia and there's a Hardees restaurant across from it if your hungry as well. The staff at the hotel is friendly and very helpful if you need them to be. They will also give you a wake up call if you request it. They also respect their guests wishes if they don't wanna be disturbed.
I did not even stay here but after seeing the reviews on here I decided to cancel my reservation and book at the Glades Spring Knights inn, glad I did. I tried calling this place at least 5 times in three days and NO ONE answered the phone! Finally I called at 9 o'clock at night to finally get an answer from a creepy dude who said that he is the new manager and does not have my reservation but it will be cancelled? Yeah STAY AWAY!!!
A real dump. The only thing it has in it's favor is that it's cheap ($50).
Avoid at all cost. Intense bedbug infestation, dried bodily fluids of all kinds everywhere, roaches, HORRIBLE front desk. Sketchy people hanging around.
Absolute disaster of a hotel. BELIEVE the reviews. Sleep in car instead!!
BED BUGS! Plus the owner is horribly rude. STAY AWAY!
The sink area was not clean and the main dresser had a coffee stain that had no attention paid to it. I felt the bed sheets were clean, however.
The room had no refrigerator or microwave as advertised on their site. The heat in the room appeared to be running at half capacity and it was 16 degrees outside leaving our room temperature at what I would guess to be about 50 degrees.. The linens were what I would imagine someone in prison would expect to receive. There was no blanket on the bed other than threadbare sheet and questionable bedspread. The toilet seat was bubbled up as if someone had poured acid on it. I had made online reservations and while there were obvious vacancies on the ground floor, I was forced to take a second floor room. The lamps in the room did not work as there were no free outlets for them to use. The TV remote needed batteries and the buttons stuck. The best thing about the room was the price and that the hot water worked.
This is the worst hotel I've ever seen. Once I saw the room, I started calling around for other places, but with NASCAR in town, nothing was available anywhere within 40 miles. Mildew, rot, drool stained pillows, bugs. This place should be closed. The only good I can say is it was a dry roof on a stormy night.
